The first ones look OK, but I think most sliders have 4 main supports.

I definitely wouldn't buy the second ones without seeing pictures of the actual product.

If you want some of the best get shrockworks. My second choice would be c4 fab. The c4’s don’t come powder coated where as the shrockworks have the best powder coat I have seen on anything, ever.

While everyone is throwing out suggestions, I couldn't be happier with my RSG sliders. Easy install, good looking, and rock solid.

They are a little more pricey than some, but I think the quality is worth the cost.

I would have a hard time trusting sliders with only two mounting points/supports. Plus I really don't like the idea of drilling holes in my frame.

I do like the way they look.

They are definitely one of the most expensive options.

I have been looking at many many different brands of rock sliders. I just ordered a set of 4 x Innovations rock sliders (with welded on step plates) to bolt onto a new 2020 TRD Pro 4Runner when I take delivery, hopefully in December.
    https://www.4xinnovations.com/2010--2019-4Runner-Bolt-On-Rock-Slider_p_157.html
I will rust proof and finish them with POR-15 stop rust kit before bolting on.
    https://www.por15.com/POR-15-3-Step-Stop-Rust-System
and then either a top coat or perhaps bed liner
    https://www.por15.com/POR-15-Top-Coat-DTM-Paint
    https://www.por15.com/POR-15-OEM-Bed-Liner
or maybe go with Rustoleum aerosol bedliner
The slider demo highlights the features:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=191&v=4iK2DZB3IOs
There is a slider strength test demo here:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=R19gBw1pKQ4
    Installation video here:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMA5j_4ycmQ
Last but not least, the price is very competitive.

    Those look good!

I didn't care much for the second video, as they don't show the sliders actually supporting the weight of the truck. I have no doubt that they're well built, but the demonstration doesn't actually prove anything. It actually seem deceitful.

Adam does say the tires are barely touching the ground. I talked to Adam before ordering and he confirmed the sliders can be used as a
jack point for a farm jack or hi-lift jack. The price is also very competitive.

Yeah, I don't doubt that they'll do the job. They look super beefy.

I just think it was a poor demonstration.

    What was the cost?

I paid $800 with powder coat and full top plate

That price is tough to beat! And, I appreciate that they take pride in their work.

Post pics of the install and finished product! I like the idea of bed liner. It might give you some extra grip if you use them as a step. Plus, you'll be able to do your own touch-up.

I hosed my frame and mounting plates with fluid film before attaching them. I was concerned about debris getting between and causing rust.I intend to pull them off periodically an clean up and reapply.

will do.....I plan to add the following in addition to rock sliders: LED interior bulbs, LED high and low beams (Auxbeam T1 9005's and T1 H11's), rear ladder (Greenlane), and a 20" 280W light bar behind upper grill section with wiring to a light bar switch in cab. Was thinking of an auxillary battery, but those are expensive set ups:-0....I could buy a small used honda gen set for a 1/4 of the money. Dealer says delivery won't be until December or early January:-(

HANK, yes I named him. 2018 TRD OffRoad.
Always a work in progress. Pretty sure I buy some new gadget every time I head out on a trip. Kings w/bypass shocks. Total Chaos upper and lower control arms. Shock Seals rear springs. Method Wheels. BFG All Terrains. SSO front bumper and roof rack. Cali Raised ditch lights and rock sliders. Heise light bar on bumper. Aftermarket roof rack light bar. PCI Radio. RAM mounts for various gadgets. ARB dual air compressor. RAGO battery and secondary battery mounts. Dometic fridge and slide. Auxiliary battery for the fridge and gadgets. CVT Mt Hood RTT. Rago cargo storage panels. Westcott rear hatch ladder. Upgraded rear hatch shocks and rear amber from Amazon, Anytime backup FRONT camera with switch. Lots of trail racing stripes. :(

I'm looking at sliders and am considering these. I like that the mounting plate wraps under and around the frame. Did you do the installation? Did it make it more difficult to install? I've got a TRD Off Road with KDSS and Im a little worried about handling the installation.

Yes, I did the install myself. There is a video on 4 x4 Innovations website showing installation on a 4runner with KDS. I strongly advise viewing the video before proceeding. Then you will see how to install yourself. It is straight forward and easy to do. Install video here:

Don’t waste money on powder coating if you plan on actually using them for their intended purpose. I used a weld-thru primer followed by Rustoleum satin black for easy touch ups when needed. 5162BA33-2BB8-4E3F-90C2-F0A108FFCDE2.jpgD207FE31-6F08-42ED-AF03-56D9895881EB.jpg

I used POR-15 three step prep and coating and then top coated with Rustoleum bedliner for UV protection and touch up.

I am not sure this is considered as slider, but I liked this one. light weight and still very strong.

    None yet.....
After trolling a lot of websites and threads here, and even thought I won't see them until January.....I just ordered the C4 sliders. I ponied up for $89 for the DOM even though I'm 99% sure I'll never need that extra. No pics because no have.....

I've had CBI Rock Sliders with Kick Outs on my 2018 TRD Pro for the past two years and am very happy with them. They're rock solid (11 mounting bolts on each side...perfect fit into existing frame holes) and are holding up great. I did spring for the DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) and powder coat upgrades. Definitely not an inexpensive option, but the quality is worth it for me.

I looked at their site. Is there a fill plate option that I am missing? We get lots of snow & ice storms so we need the traction for entry.
    Thank you!

The Westcott Designs rock sliders look like a great option, and they're comparable in price to the CBIs. I doubt someone could go wrong with either option. Enjoy the mod!

They do offer them with fill plates. Look up their Instagram and scroll through to find some pics with them attached. All around they look amazing, and again, those welds!

Have you gone offroading with these yet? Is that the full step plate option?

No, not the full step option.
