I pulled the Lexus in the garage and got side tracked about the cargo in the back and walked in the house. An hour later I went in the garage and the drivers door was open and no lights on the car at all. I went over to shut the door and the alarm went off and Lexus called my phone to ask if there was a problem. I didn't even know they did that Wow. Wonder if the 4runner is like that. Both are 19 models. I guess this is a good thing.

No I always close my door regardless if I plan on going back in.

My alarm won't arm with a door open it give you a solid tone until the door is closed. I do it to my kids all the time when they take too long to get out of the car.

The only call you'll get from Toyota is them wanting to sell you a new battery. :D

Lexus won't let that happen . It turns the car off in a few minutes.

4Runner will also. I leave my rear hatch open sometimes for long periods when I'm fishing.

    The lights turn off.
