End of the year obsession, why in the world would a '18 SR5 4wd owner consider trading a perfectly fine 4runner for a base '19 TRDOR. Especially when said owner rarely uses the 4wd he has....

    Surely this person has issues.

    Ok.

You’d save money just upgrading the suspension?

I think he is expecting some end of year good deals that ease the cost of upgrading....to the more attractive 4wd capabilities that may enhance resell later....if he is ever moving up to the next level on a new TRDOR is the next few weeks the time to do it kinda of thing

Be sure to consider all the changes to the 2020 4Runner over the 2019. If any of the updates are attractive to you, I’d wait until the end of the 2020 run for a deal.

Your hit on trade won’t be as bad and you’ll move up two model years. Just something to consider.

Well in 25 years my locker has never been a “must have” feature. I mean I engage it every once in awhile to crawl a bit but never had to have it yet. I suppose if your in the ditch on a snowy night or deep sand on the dunes it would really come in handy. Not supposed to go over 15 with it on..

Thanks for the replies.....the vision of a deal is that by cancelling an extended maintenance plan yet to take effect and using that $$ along with $7k equity on the trade to essentially keep the same payment, may be delusional but that was the thought.

Checked the 2020 standard equipment....the premium sound system may be wasted on me, it's the major change as far as I can tell.....'20 msrp $1300 over '19....just not in to all the techno capabilities...good bit of etune going to waste now.

Don’t forget all the added safety stuff on the new ones. Adaptive cruise control, push button start, collision avoidance, a much fancier info screen next to the speedometer (radio control + lots of additional info displayed there). The head unit display screen is much bigger.

    I’m sure I’m missing a few things.
