Why would anyone even consider this when you can get a fully loaded 19 for a little over 30k?

Where are you seeing 2019 4x4s for a little over $30k? Most I have seen are $35k+...that is a big difference in price. But if you are right, then yeah, makes more sense for the 2019.

But you didn't answer my question ; )

Well they want 36k I would give them 34k or keep it...They got used 18’s available too...You have to get on the ground with a flashlight regardless of where it’s from...
The 2020 TRD is under 39k.....

    Is plasti-dip a mod?!
any state above the Virginia(east coast) and Colorado (west coast) line, is a salt hazard. But, even purchasing outside of a salt-slinging state, check the underside anyways. People are very mobile and move all over the place.

    Stock...for now...
I personally don’t buy used vehicles out by me. Only because they dump salt on every inch of the road. But I’d take it to a shop with a lift where you could see the under carriage perfectly. Bad rust typically doesn’t show up until about 5-6 years I’ve noticed on new vehicles. But that’s not saying it won’t.

Basically any state that see's snow is a good bet. Got to be many more that do than do not. Some may have new-fangled salt-substitutes but then again what does that do to cars?

Here in Nebraska they use salt & brine. The salt is bad. The brine is worse!
Not sure what the brine is exactly but I have seen trucks that are two to three years old begin to rust around the rear fenders.
Most of the T4R's in our area hold up pretty well (you see a lot of older ones looking awesome). Unless the owner just neglects it.

NC rarely uses salt in Charlotte area. Commonly in the mountains, never on the Coast, but then you have sea salt...
