I just bought my dream car which is the 2018 4Runner TRD off road last Tuesday 9/17/2019. Since I have gotten it I have had it at back at the dealership because it keeps throwing timing codes. The first time, they ran fresh oil through everything and "fixed" it. Later that night all my warning lights came back on. Second time, they replaced a sensor and it did good for a couple of days. Then last night my warning lights came back on. So for a third time now I have taken my 4Runner back for the same issue. They are going to replace another sensor. I was wondering if anyone else has had any issues like this or any advice as what to do next.

Too many mods and too much money
I've not heard or read of anything like this. Hopefully it's fixed soon and properly. I do advise documenting every visit and conversation with the dealer pertaining to this situation. It will help you tremendously if the problem persists and any kind of legal action is needed. Have you asked over at ? Sorry your having this problem, Good Luck!!

UPDATE: They are replacing a second sensor. If that doesn’t fix it then they are going to replace the camshaft. I bought it used with 28,000 miles on it. So it’s still under factory warranty and I bought an extended warranty as well.

Nothing to worry about IMO - as it's under warrantee and they have to fix it. Scotty Kilmer once said on TV channel that if it drives fine, than keep driving it. 28,000 miles is like "new".

I have a 2005 V6 SR5 with 140,000 miles and it has never kicked out a code or check engine light since I owned in new in 2005..
