Yes cut 1 inch hole in dust cap, there is rubber gasket that comes with the lights to keep it water proof.

You can still find the HIDs I bought on ebay

I converted my low breams to Phillips H9 bulbs. You can get them on Amazon for $7 per bulb.

    https://www.amazon.com/Philips-12361B1-Standard-Replacement-Headlight/dp/B003YMPN3A/ref=sr_1_3?crid=35Q347J82MH8A&keywords=phillips+h9+headlight+bulb&qid=1568560101&s=gateway&sprefix=phillips+h9%2Caps%2C193&sr=8-3

Love the light it puts out and for $14 you can't beat the upgrade. Just make sure to lower you headlights if you've lifted the truck.

You'll have to cut a plastic tab and a metal tab on the bulb assembly to make them fit, but it's extremely easy and all you need is a pair of snips.

I just ordered a set of the Philips H9 bulbs. Curious to see if I get a Chinese set or a German set. Should be here by tomorrow. Had to decline the "expert" installation though.

Are these a clean white light or do they have a yellow tint to them? Might be nice in the high beams and fogs also.

I swapped the stock H11 with a Silverstar Ultra H11 which helped but not much. I love the Ultra bulbs and they are usually much better than OEM but not the case in the 4R projectors. I think this H9 swap will be my next experiment.

Crash tested them both and got near identical output values, if I remember correctly.

The German made bulbs edged out the China bulbs 1294 vs 1266 Lux. Probably not even visually noticeable. Still curious to see what I get though. :D

No difference in output, both are made to Phillips specs.

They're halogen so not white like LEDs/HIDs. My high beams came with Phillips H9s from the factory. You don't want to use these in the OEM fogs because H9s have no glare caps and will blind on-coming drivers. They're fine in the low beams because the projectors have glare shields.

Maybe move the H11 from the headlight down to the fog? I will mess around, see what works and what doesn't. I'm just worried about melting the factory plastic fog light housings. OEM fog bulbs are 19 watts, headlights are 55 watts. A lot more heat there.

Let us know if the H11s are brighter than the stock bulbs in the fogs. I went with the OEM LED fog lights for the 4runner. Brighter and less expensive than the Morrimoto XD fog lights.

I cannot find specs on the Toyota LED's.
I know they are 24w. Do you have a link or knowledge of the lumen output of them?
Trying to decide between Morimoto (like the black) or the Toyotas.
    Thanks.

Ordered a set of fangs on Friday. Really finishes off the little black pieces and adds a nice and sharp tough to it.

No problem. They're not as bright as the KC G4 fogs I have on the Taco but definitely brighter than the stock halogens. Good luck on the selection, let us know what you decide.

Looks like Amazon seller is mistaken.

I got some on the way. Rigid has some new 360 rounds coming out the sae bajas didnt turn out well so these will fit the bill until the rigids are out. Will more than likely keep them in the factory locations and add the rigids behind the grill

The Philips LEDs from Amazon are insanely bright in the OEM fog housings. HUGE improvement over stock. And glare is minimal. I've had friends drive toward me as oncoming traffic would to make sure they're not bothersome. Verdict is they're just fine.

I put yellow laminX on mine so the difference/color in light type between the led fogs and halogen low beams isn't noticeable. And the fogs are still plenty bright.

I am attempting to match all the temps of forward lights (fogs, high & low beam) to get a uniform look.
Just not a fan of yellow lightning. Just me.
    Thanks.
I have lots of research to do yet...

So they must have changed from 9005 to H9 in the high beams from 2018 to 2019 4runners.

Got my Tandem OffRoad sliders. Could write a really long paragraph on my frustrations with the company, but I guess I’ll refrain.

I do think they’re some of the best looking / most functional sliders
