Looks great! I replaced all my interior lighting with LED soon after I purchased my 4Runner. Make a huge difference!

Very easy, you just pop out the factory door lights and unplug, then plug in and pop back in factory openings. Ghost led on Ebay, plug and play no cutting.

Which bulbs are you talking about replacing and what is the “huge difference” it made?

All interior light bulbs, improved nighttime vision also replaced foglights and headlights and high beams/ DRL , That improved highway signs and lane marker visibility.

Thanks. Did changing the low beams change the light pattern or just make the OEM pattern brighter?

The pattern does not change when LEDs are installed correctly but improves visible light pattern on road markers and signs, cleaner light pattern. FYI; I had to add a resistor harness for daytime running lights/ high beams to stop flickering of DRL, used a plug and play harness no wire cutting. Check Headlight Revolution website for a lot of information about converting Toyotas.

    Hello

    Need some help here, I have a 2019 SR5 .

Wanted to upgrade my low beam bulbs, tried the Philips Xtreme vision Halogen bulb 1236xvB1, and had fitment issue due to the separator being in the way between the contact point within the bulb plug housing.

Went with GE 130 bulb, same design inside, will not mate with OEM plug on harness.

Was there a design change in 2019 in the plug for the 4 runners?

Both manufacturers advertise the product to be valid for the 2019 model.

    What am I missing?

I presume I could take a dremel tool, and cut out the plastic separation wall inside the bulb plug housing, and outside tabs, to make it potentially fit?

    Is this the fix?

Thanks in advance for the solution.

    Max

I have seen that a lot of people have issues fitting leds into the low beam area. That’s why I went with headlight revolutions low beam led headlights. They plug right into the connectors and fit with the dust cover on.

Thanks, Guhner123, but my issue is with the halogen, there got to be a replacement which fits the plug?

I understand the LED route, and yes HR has an acceptable solution, but no Halogen.

Are the Philips and GE bulbs H11? And you're sure you're putting them in the low beam spot (ie. remove the dust cap)? Not doubting you- Just double checking.

4runningMan, the drink is on me:bowdown:.

I cannot believe how incredibly dumb I feel, the instructions were clear enough.

What prompted me to revisit just now was the (remove dust cap) yup I took out the bulb next to it.

Thanks a lot for your input, just think this forum is great.

:bananadance:Works great, at least I now know the difference between High and Low beam location, learn something every day, just like the teacher said, read the instructions.

    Thanks

No drink necessary! I made the exact same mistake as you when I replaced my H11's. And I came to the forum with the exact same question as you... so my suggestion to you was the first thing that came to my mind.

I'm generally not one to give a company more advertising, but that is seriously cool.
