Is it best to go ahead with 4x4? I already have a 2nd Gen Taco TRD Sport.

    Stock...for now...
Depends on your needs. I live in a state with snow so they don’t even sell 4runners that are 2wd

Better to have it and not need it than the other way around imo

Resale will be better with a 4x4 and it will sell quicker, if that's a concern at all.

If you use your truck as the off-road vehicle then i guess it's not necessary... But if the price difference isn't much I'd still go with the 4WD.

    Hello and welcome!

I have the 2wd sr5. If you don't plan on modding it, get the 2wd. Also has slightly better MPG. Having to factor into the differences in a pain when looking at suspension, 2nd battery, aftermarket CAI's, etc. If you plan to go offroad or mod it, get the 4wd.

Also if you can, wait for the 2020 SR5P. They will be getting Toyotoa safety sense and the new head unit (apple carplay and and android auto support).
