interior LED bulb replacement, exterior LED bulb replacement ... got the 'bug' wanting to do more upgrades (bull bar, nerf bars, roof carrier rack, tail light covers, etc)
This thread is a few months old, but I thought that I would reply.
I recently replaced all of the interior and most of the exterior lighting on my 2006 4Runner.
Honestly, it depends on a few things (budget, how bright do you want, etc).
Being somewhat reluctant, I decided to go middle of the road and not spend too much, but not too little.
You get what you pay for, right?

For the interior lighting I bought the following:

For the exterior (fog, backup, low beam, turn signals, etc), I bought the following:

Ismo_Guy - were yours TOTALLY plug and play? Was there any drilling or fit issues what so ever? I've considered the headlights but 100% want to snap out what's there and just plug in the new ones.

Yes, pretty much all were "plug -n- play". Pop them out of the packaging they came in and replace the halogen bulbs throughout.
The front turn signals required a relay, or else you would have the dreaded hyper-flashing, and I used the following, which was essentially plug -n- play.
Nope, no drilling, splicing, etc needed for anything.

I just installed Headlight Revolution SV.4 low beams and Allu 5200lm fog lights. Both are huge improvement over stock. The SV.4 are plug and play, but you need to fit the rectangular pack into the headlight housing...It's a tight fit, but does seal back up fine. The Allu bulbs were a direct swap.

Just an FYI...LED bulbs project differently than the stock lights, so I had to adjust my beam MUCH lower or I would have blinded other drivers. Easy to adjust with a #2 phillips screwdriver, tape measure and some masking tape on a level surface.

I have Xtreme pro LED low beams. I strongly do NOT recommend them. It is a waste of $120 if you want significantly better light output. You’ll get a nice OEM 4300k-ish color (despite labeled at 5500k) which is the only redeeming factor.

It may be the 4Runner housing that is the problem more so than the actual LED bulbs. Either way, they suck for the 4Runner.
