My wife likes to constantly turn off the DRL’s so Im thinking about doing the fog anytime mod like my Taco.

Anyone ever do it with the 5th Gen 4R and if so what method did you use?

Damn. That's a pretty "involved" process just to get the fog lights on.

I kept them on in my Tacoma, but no mod was needed LOL.

    I'm electronically challenged LOL

Just got my 2019 sr5 but thought about paying someone to just wire the fog lights to a switch on the dash. Be nice to be able to use them when and how i want.

With the way morons drive these days I prefer to be more visible, not that anyone is paging attention.

Thanks, that is alot of work in that link. I would be more inclined to make up my own relay setup to the battery and a positive ignition source (switch) to have them run independently, much more simple, I don’t have a need to turn them off as I want them to run constantly.

I also find it funny that canbus is allegedly used but doesn’t alert you if a fog light is out.

It’s pretty easy to do. The relay for the dogs is internal to the body control module so using a wiring diagram I just wired in an external relay for the fogs using the stock switch to control it. It’s like an hour long job, not a big deal.
