I'm well aware that the T4R is a capable vehicle for off-roading, but where I live, most of the mountain roads that require a capable vehicle are gated off and restricted access to vehicles over 50" wide by either the Forest Service or the timber companies.

So, most folks out here have an ATV to get around the gates and go deep into the woods. There are some regular roads that can get pretty hairy, but most can be handled easily by a 4Runner with decent tires.

So, really no reason for me to lift and go hardcore with my T4R as I use my 50" UTV to go deep. In fact, taking it deep into the mountains on Friday to scout for elk hunting season.

Anyone else use an ATV or UTV for their main backwoods exploring?

Here's my UTV; 2018 Honda Pioneer 500 with a few mods...

I love to ride but there not too many places around me...here’s my 2013 Grizzly 7009A88E6B0-DD75-4C79-86C6-37E60EAF6974.jpg

I enjoy the open feel of off roading on an ATV and it’s really amazing what you can maneuver them up and around.

Love the Yamaha ATVs! Bought a brand new Kodiak 400 in 2001 and never had an issue up until I lost it in my divorce in 2013.

YAMI’S for the win! I am a diehard Yamaha guy and they remind me a lot of the 4Runners. Just an old-school get the job done vehicle and they are super reliable. I have ridden a few Suzuki’s and they are very nice ATVs. I would purchase one if Yamaha went in the sh$&&er...

There’s a Yamaha 700R for sale here. I’m actually scared of it...
