Rear view mirror moves as much as bobble head doll on every bump. Popped off the mirror from the plastic ball joint, the one closest to the mirror. The other ball joint which is still attached to the windshield is stiff as a board to move.

Do I need to replace the plastic part that has ball joints at both ends, or the circular clip that is inside the rear view mirror? The clip looks worn.

    Anyone have a part number(s)?

Never mind. After looking everywhere online for how to fix, finally came across a brilliant idea in comments of a video.
    1. 1 latex glove
    2. cut the end of the pinky finger off; cut it just slightly longer than height of ball joint
    3. slide the latex piece onto the end of the ball joint
    4. if necessary, slide off and trim to proper size, then slide back on
    5. pop mirror back on
    Total time: 2 minutes

Mirror now stays in place. If you have really thin latex gloves, you might consider using two finger cut offs over the ball joint. I used the pinky finger because it's the smallest and fit the tightest around the ball joint.
