It's a 2007, it has just now 160K.... but it is beautiful inside and out... dark gray with leather interior SR5. It is in the shop having shocks and struts done. We had it checked out before purchase and they recco'd the S&S and a new battery. It also has the flashing tire sensor. They checked all 4 and found no issues - thanks to this forum I realize we need to check the spare. Hoping that's all it is. I'll need to replace some speakers.... so will probably just replace them all. Also, she is interested in an upgraded stereo with bluetooth. That's our next stop. What aftermarket radio/stereo would you guys recco????

I would have looked carefully at the old shocks. The ones in my 2005 SR5 are like new (150,000 miles on odometer). Putting new AM cheap shocks that are not OEM will ruin the ride on a 4 runner.
If you can get them to replace just the shock and use the old springs and original struts.

At the very least, get your old struts back. JMHO

Change the rear differential fluid. Easy job. 3 quarts of 80W 90 gear oil. Drain and refill.

Welcome. The 4th gen 4Runner is a great vehicle in most senses of the concept.

Welcome, I replace my factory stereo head unit with a Kenwood unit, it is ok, it works but no where near the quality of Alpine which I usually buy. It was a really good deal on sale when I bought it.
