Product Description

Mityvac is a brand of automotive diagnostic and service repair tools since 1971. Beginning with the design and patent of a single hand-held vacuum pump intended for medical applications, its uses broadened to include automotive diagnostics and service as well as industrial and consumer applications. The Mityvac MV4560 Cooling System Pressure Test Kit makes diagnosing the common causes of vehicle or light truck overheating simple, efficient and economical. It combines our unique hand pressure pump with four cooling system test adapters and two dual-function cap test adapters to quickly reveal external cooling system leaks and detect internal leaks and defective caps. These adapters fit most U.S. and Asian cars and light trucks as well as many European vehicles. Mityvac offers the products and systems you need for any brake and clutch bleeding application, air induction cleaning and compression testing, cooling system evacuation or refill application, for fluid handling and diagnostic applications.

    Hard to Find coolant leak
    5 Stars
    Hard to Find coolant leak
2008 Jeep had hard too find coolant leak. Thought the engine had internal problem. Wasn't sure. I saw this kit. Ordered it. With in 30 minutes of opening the package I pumped up a cold 18 psi radiator to 10 psi and just like that I found the seep/leak. It wasn't internal or the water pump. It turned out to be the water pump gasket. Photo attached of bad seal segment. Had I taken it to a shop minimum $300-500 dollars. They probably would have replaced the pump. Bottom line, $34 and a $14 water pump gasket at NAPA it is fixed! Now I don't know how robust this particular tool is because it's made out of plastic .... But for me it was perfect and saved a bundle THANKS!!Oh yea, Probably not for the Professional mechanic, but for DIY like me it was perfect. Another thought, if my my hose didn't seal using existing plastic 'B'nuts I would probably try a small hose clamp .50 cents a piece! Cheers
