Some Maintenance Tips
It is best not to charge the battery after it is completely exhausted, otherwise it may affect the battery life.
If the battery power is completely exhausted, you need to use the PD charging port to charge it first, the smaller wattage current is better to wake up the battery.
If the battery needs to be stored for a long time, the battery should not be overcharged. Please also charge it during this period, preferably once a month. Leaving it for a long time without using it or charging may cause battery loss and lead to battery failure.

Description: With that out of the way, what do we have here? We have a very safe LFP cell that's going to last a very long time even daily cycling it up and down. This is combined with 2 USB-A ports, 2 USB-C ports, 2 DC barrel outputs, a 12V accessory outlet and finally 2 AC outlets hooked up to a 300W inverter. Finally it has a 3A MPPT inside that can peak out around 60W if you hook up the panels to it. The DC outputs are protected from overload, I've accidentally shorted it before and it detects and disables them.
Use cases: My power utility is absolutely trash. I wanted a pack that could run my laptop and charge phones in the evening and charge off solar or car outlets in the day, I bought this in a bundle with GoLabs 100W panels. The pack is used pretty much daily as only the AC charger for my phone can charge it fast enough, so this gives me a very portable inverter and a backup source of power for my laptop. During the winter it was also cool having the accessory port as I could hook up a DC powered coffee mug to keep my coffee warm on cold days in the house. Finally, I had a netbook I've been unable to find the adapter for, with the cable from the solar panels I'm able to charge the netbook off the 12V output.
Quirks (I'm pretty sure none of the other reviews will go this deep in the things to watch out for):
1. It charges through 2 different plugs. Either DC input barrel plug or the bottom bidirectional USB-C port. If the barrel plug is used, bottom bidirectional USB-C port is disabled. Not a big deal, just something to know.
2. The DC barrel port can be fed with a wide range of voltages but you'll only charge at the voltage of that wattage * 3A. So a 12.4V supply is only going to charge around 37W (think charging from a car's accessory port). This is why the panels can do 60W charge on this pack as they output 20V in peak sun. The included adapter and my phone's USB-C charger both charge this at around 45W. I've charged it off an identical pack, the solar panels, multiple car accessory ports, and even a disconnected SLA battery, they all work as expected.
3. For whatever reason the BMS (battery management system) can get confused in this unit. I had my first unit get stuck at 15W max charge rate for months. I contacted GoLabs and shared a video about this and they sent me a replacement and told me to keep the original unit. I thought something fried inside, but I really do think it was a glitch in the BMS that running a button reset on the unit won't fix. After around 3 months of this broken unit being used hooked up to a weather station, the power supply I had it hooked up to got unplugged. This ran the unit entirely flat, a slow drain of 4W for days and when I noticed the station stopped reporting, I plugged the unit back in and it charged at full rate. So, I guess my tip to GoLabs will be to add some feature in the future to allow for resetting the BMS, that or provide a guide how to unplug and replug the BMS. Either way, the company stands behind their product and I was super impressed with the support experience.
4. If the pack is plugged into a wall charger and reaches 100% charge and you leave it plugged in this way, it's possible that when plugging devices into the pack that use less than 45W, the pack will throw a warning thinking it's shorting out. I don't think it is or that it's harmful, the alert is just annoying for those using this for standby usage and your choice is to either draw more power for a bit or unplug the charger for a little bit so it runs down.
5. The inverter works great, but it will increase power draw even when nothing is plugged in, something on the order of 3-5W. All inverters do this so it's not something they can improve upon. Additionally since the chips are getting powered inside it while on, it warms up a bit, there will be a low fan cycling off and on if inverter is on. On inverter loads above 150W or so the fan will run constantly.
6. Plugging a second USB-A or top USB-C device in while a device is powered on USB-A port will cause the first plugged device to reset. Something to keep in mind if you're intending to buy this to power a raspberry pi or something.
7. Sometimes the unit will reset. I don't know how or why. it won't stop powering whatever is hooked up to it, but the stats shown on screen might be a little off and the button beep gets turned back on. The BMS seems independent of whatever circuits control the screen/controls.
In short, I think the only thing GoLabs should focus on is adding functionality to reset the BMS so they don't end up with another RMA edge case like me, and finally making the USB-A ports fully independent or maybe something like adding a capacitor on it so plugging in a device doesn't reset the first one might be nice. Otherwise great unit, and I think it will hold up for years. I've yet to see anything else at its price point and feature set on the market (LFP over Li-ion was super important for me)
I also saw a couple of my FB group mates say that they liked it. Man this device is certainly a keeper in terms of what you get.
What I Like About It
- The battery chemistry is Lifepo4 so it will maintain its full battery capacity for 2000 cycles. (if you follow the guidelines for charging and maintenance). The user manual says 1000 but the manufacturer and others have told me that it is indeed 2000 cycles until the battery reaches 80 capacity.
- The display shows power coming in and how much time you have left.
- Pure sine wave inverter so you can trust your devices being plugged into the AC port compared to modified which can cause your devices to not work well and possibly cause them to stop working sooner
- It has pass through charging. I dont think I would buy a PPS that doesnt have this.
- USB C PD Charging with a 60 watt port and a 30 watt port! And the 60 watt one is bi directional so you can charge it via that port with a usb c pd charger.
- The capacity on the battery is 300 watt hours so its an upgrade from my previous one which only had 166.
- The inverter is 300 watts and it has a decent surge on it for the size. I think it surges up to 500 watts
- It includes all the cables you need. Some companies do not put the MC4 solar adapter in with the device.
- It has a lamp instead of a flashlight which is more useful for power outages where you need to light up a room vs a specific area.
- It has two outlets and they are sideways to accommodate large wall adapters.
There are some things I don't like or I wish that it could have been different.
- The included adapter charges at 45 watts instead of 60. My previous device had a 45 watt ac charger as well. I wonder if its something thats ideal for these smaller lifepo4 devices.
- The top 3 usb ports (including the 30 watt PD port) dont provide power unless you plug your cable into your device first, then power the ports on and then plug the cable into the GoLabs. The manufacturer said that this is a protective measure. Not a fan but if they know something about their device and put a protection in, then I can appreciate that.
**note** The USB C PD 60 Watt port works like "it should" or like you would expect a power port to work.
- The 12v port (cigarette style found in cars) is shallow but they provide an adapter that gives you a second option. Some 12v devices plugs might fall out because of it. The main example I have heard is 12v fridges.
- How the display shows power usage is a bit odd but Im still glad that it shows me any input as my previous one did not.
- I have gotten an over voltage error from time to time because the voltage range is a bit wonky. Some panels come right up to the limit when in full sun. But I have found that the device still charges as it should.
So overall, this is a very capable device with some drawbacks but nothing that should cause you to pause in picking one up especially if you are new to solar and want something to just get started and give you a little peace of mind when the power goes out or while on a short camping trip or outing with family.
I originally wanted to give it four stars because of some of the drawbacks but when thinking about it, this device has no real competition in this price range for the features, so I think it deserves the 5 stars. I would absolutely recommend it.
One cautionary tale, I have seen at least one video that mentioned an odd "burn in" on the screen but the manufacturer seems responsive and I'd think they would honor the warranty.
