I know the cons list looks big, but they are all minor things, I am very pleased with this product
Pros:
They are very easy to install. Only took me about 2 minutes to attach them to my factory installed rails. Keep the key and Allen key in the car if you ever need a quick adjustment.
The lock is a great feature.
They are solidly made. I roll back my sunroof and do pull-ups on the bars and it is well built, haha
Wind noise is minimal. Of course there will be some added whistle, but it is not distracting, and if you have music on you won't notice it at all
Minimal impact on gas mileage too. I have noticed no significant change in my gas mileage.
They look handsome, I don't think I'll ever take them off.
Cons:
Aluminum rail means lifting the load to move it is preferred. Sliding my aluminum canoe across it made minor cosmetic damage. I would prefer a softer top surface, maybe rubber or a dense foam. Chopped up pool noodles would be a fairly easy fix
Rails are too wide for most ratchet hooks, so you have to loop the strap around and hook it to itself
The mechanism for attaching it to the roof rails on either side extends about 6" towards the center of the roof, so adding something like a kayak rack on top won't have as much room for adjustment.

First. This is the second set of these crossbars I've owned. Fist set lasted me from 2016 till 2022 with many many trips with no issues. Loved them, especially for the price.
Second. We just traded that car in. Now we have this 4Runner. I LOVE the cargo basket. We use it all the time. But this didn't help with two kayaks. So, I ordered these crossbars again. While the measurements are good (and I didn't have to do this), you can modify these. They come apart so easy. Just take off the end caps, slide out the clamps, slide out top rubber gasket, and cut with hacksaw to desired length, then go in reverse It's really so so simple. Now, I've also blacked out my car, so clearly silver wasn't going to fly. I just used matt black metal spray paint after taking the assembly apart and it looks awesome. Mounted crossbars to Basket, mounted racks to crossbars, and works like a charm. I didn't have to spend almost triple the price on the Y brand rack that comes with crossbars.
Long story short. These are great cross bars. My second set. But they solve an issue of having a Basket AND kayak or snowboard racks. With some spray paint in my case.
Enjoy the trip.

Before purchasing, I read a ton of these reviews to know what I was up against. The issues that stuck out to me was the color and the whistling noise from the wind on the under side of the cross bar.
Ok. For $43 I can't complain. So I bought them. Right out of the packaging I was impressed. 2 keys that worked for all 4 locks. They seem sturdy. Simple and effective design. I did notice the "tunnel" on the bottom side of both cross bars. I figured this is what was causing the wind noise. So... I took some aluminum foil tape (x2) and covered the tunnel. It made for an almost smooth surface for wind to glide past, inside of trapped in the tunnel whistling.
Now the color. I have a white 2016 Jeep Cherokee 75 anniversary off-road package (charcoal grey and black molding and tires). I didn't want this silver look to the cross bars. So I went to walmart and bought a $6 can of matte black plastidip and painted everything except the clamps (3 coats). Let it dry and set for 48 hours, then installed.
I haven't heard any whistling from 0-85mph. They are strong enough to hold my rack on top of the suv. I'll come back in the Spring to update this review. That's when I'll start really putting some wear and tear on these bars.

Good
1. Price point. It is NOT a built-for-your car engineered solution. It's a reusable, removable cross bar that is economical.
2. Build. I used it to carry a ladder and it was relatively solid and seems built to withstand some use.
3. Ease of Installation. Easy to install within a few minutes and remove for storage. All tools provided.
The box comes with 2 cross bars already assembled with the footings. Well packaged and labelled. There are two keys and one long allen key. The keys expose the allen key opening, which is used to tighten the cross bar into place. The two footings on each crossbar slide to where you need to align them with the running bars attached to the roof of your vehicle.
It's a universal type roof rack, so the fittings don't have an exact fit on the running bars, however they do tighten and seem secure. You can tighten them securely, but depending on the placement, there may be some wiggle which you need to eliminate by loosening and adjusting.
Its relatively simple to use- place the crossbars on your rails. Open up the key hole, insert allen key and tighten.

Easy to install.
Bought this with the intention to load plywood and planks for my carpentry work, so hopefully it will hold it down.
Yet to try putting load on it and will update how it goes.

I finally had a chance to use them this past weekend, and they worked perfectly for carrying a sheet of 3/4" plywood home. I wouldn't say that these roof racks are designed to last a long time, but if you're just using them for occasional move projects, they're perfect. They go on relatively easily on my 2018 Jeep Cherokee, and they easily held up to the weight of the plywood. My only complaint with them is that I found the bolt that is used for the locking mechanism on the clamps could be a little longer. I needed to unscrew them almost to the point that the nut fell off before they would open wide enough to fit on my roof racks. In fact, the first time I went to test them the nut fell off. Since the bolt/nut combination is in an awkward spot in the clamp, it took a little time to get the nut back on. All in all this is a small gripe for a useful inexpensive product.
