Suspension system components are susceptible to damage and wear due to normal use and driving hazards like poor road conditions, potholes and accidents. If a part fails, the effects can range from the mild (like premature tire wear) to the extreme (a total loss of control of your vehicle). Be on the lookout for these signs of a failing part in the suspension system:

A failing suspension component can cause your vehicle to pull to the left or right which makes it difficult to control your vehicle.

Front end shimmy

Loose suspension system components can contribute to front end shimmy. You may feel vibration through the seat, steering wheel or brake pedal.

Uneven or premature tire wear

Excessive inner tire wear is a sign that there could be something wrong with a suspension part.

Clunking, grinding or noise under vehicle

Abnormal noises like squealing while turning corners or clunking from the front end can be an indication of a damaged part in the suspension system.
