My recent Alpine upgrade using the Metra Dash Kit. I opted to use the Toyota radio brackets to allow the height adjustment I wanted to reduce blocking the air vents and controls. I placed the head unit at the 2.25” adjustment. I had a blank bracket bent and powder coated as a filler for the double din radio space. I was able to meet my requirement to minimally block the air vents and controls. Nice to have a screen my eyes can see in Nav mode and also get the additional vehicle details.
