What do you mean by " “Failed inspection for braking system.” Brakes arent working? Brake lights not working? What state?

Brake pads too thin? Not sure if they check that where you are at.

I would of at least asked WTF failed specifically.

Brakes just fine/upgraded to sport system when purchased. Lights, fine also. NY state Print out literally says braking system failure. 20k miles. WTF

That sucks that they don’t give you specifics or anything to work off of.

Could be anything to am ABS sensor, wheel speed sensor, air in the system making it spongy...

Did you also say no dash lights and no blown fuses? Have you checked the box under the hood?

OP that is fd up, for real. Here in NC they have to tell you why you failed, give you 30 days to fix it and test again.

Also if your car is less than 3 years old you automatically bypass emissions testing, by law.

The reason for smashed ass edition. Non attention paying, uninsured bellend in a GMC Yukon.

How the hell do they fail a vehicle and not let you know what is wrong? Doesn't sound right.

Don’t mean to derail the op, I was curious how fast the other car was going that hit you? I was involved in a similar looking accident and body shop said there was no frame damage on my vehicle. Exactly where was the frame damage on yours? How bad was it bent?

Estimated about 40-45mph. The frame damage was the rear most ladder section where the hitch is mounted. Bent it inwards, rotated it down a little bit and bowed the outer frame rails outward.

Just sucks they don’t tell you what is going on and the owner is left to take it to the dealership or mechanic to figure out what the problem is.

Wish I had more to offer and hope it’s an easy fix for you. Please, let us know what you find out

Thank you, Paul. Brake system was serviced 3k ago. There IS a drip to the left of the front right tire. It appears to be water/not viscous no odor. The rejection notice simply said service brake system, no visible fade. Thx again.
