Has anyone been able to mount a cooler in the inside of their 5th gens? Something like this? I’ve found online that it’s an igloo cooler, but I’m curious of where I could get a mount for it or if anyone has made their own.

I just throw a 20qt RTIC in the back. No rocket science needed. It also doesn’t bang up my console plastics. My ocd wouldn’t allow that.

Do you like your RTIC? I just got a 45 quart that I keep in the back of my excursion during the work week. It only keeps ice for 2 maybe 3 days. I keep my windows down and the back barn doors open so I'm sure it's warm in my truck but not extreme. My shitty Colman cooler can do what my RTIC does.

No cooler is going to go 7 days when a person is in and out of it consistently. The high end coolers are mostly basing numbers on constant conditions. These days even the cheaper cooler technology has nearly caught up.

Very true. I have yet to take the RTIC camping. When camping we have another higher end cooler that we put perishables in and then use a Coleman for drinks and what not. Id like to see how it does when it's only being opened once or twice a day.

I've used everything from foam coolers, bag coolers, yeti, Rtic and more.

I love my camo color "Vibe 45" cooler more than any of em. Just as good as my father's and brother's yetis. But cheaper, looks "cooler" has built in bottle openers and fish ruler plus a better drain plug that's chained on.

That being said even our coleman and marine igloos keeps ice NEARLY just as long. I tell most people unless you plan on sitting and standing on your cooler, or being out away from an ice machine for more than 2 days... Get a cheap cooler.

Sorry to dust off this old thread - but I ran across this picture (second post above) and am trying to figure out what that TRD branded holder is at the bottom of the cooler. Anyone know?
