What do you use to clean your interior? Armorall is the devil apparently.

I saw on a Reddit post many people saying that not only is Armorall not a great cleaner but it can be bad for the surfaces over a long period of time.

What do you guys use to get all the dirt and dust cleaned up inside your rides?

If your talking about Armorall the protectant it's just that a protectant not a cleaner and yes I've also heard it's not the greatest. I just bought some Chemical Guys leather cleaner and protectant (two different bottles) and it works great even on "semi-real" leather. Check them out or just google "premium car care products" easy to find better stuff out there than a 2.99 bottle of "do it all" cleaner from Wally Mart. Whatever just my opinion I'm happy with the stuff.

Same here, damp microfiber cloth. Usually I'm dusty, and don't need to actually clean anything. I don't like my stuff greasy/shiny.

Armor all wipes, or cheap knock off

Probably UV is worse than armor all, but fortunately I park in a garage at work (at least currently)

Honestly, this is the most simple answer, which is why I probably never would have thought about something so easy. It's so easy to feel overwhelmed with products on the shelves when really I'm just interested in cleaning the dust out. I also don't care for shiny and greasy surfaces.

Armor all is a UV product that protects the plastic/vinyl/synthetic . using a damp cloth wipe down the seats/dash and the I spray a clean cloth and wipe the surfaces..

I have 20 yr old GM vehicles with leather seats . seats and interior still no UV damage. on real leather I use leather cleaner and protectant...

if you have a mess on your seats I have used some laundry soap in a spray bottle ..to clean up the mess.

I had been using a turtle wax product, but sounds like I should be using a microfiber cloth.

Aerospace 303 Protectant. Hands down the best stuff to use to protect the interior plastic and dash. It also doesn’t leave a greasy mess like amor all.

Soap and water for cleaning and a microfiber cloth for dust, that's it.

I used armor all protectant for decades on my Blazers, and they always looked WAAAY better than they ran, but started using Black Magic or Mequires the last few years.

This method is under-rated. You gotta get your dash pretty dirty before anything more than a damp towel is necessary.

A protectant is another thing entirely. Here I go contradicting myself. But I really like sonax dashboard cleaner. It's got UV blockers and it doesn't change the appearance of the dash. I don't use it for the cleaner so much as I do the UV blockers, and I like that it doesn't leave it looking "dressed". I don't want a shiny or greasy dash. The Sonax gets it done. I use it on all my interior plastics.

It also has a light foaming action, so if you have greasy smudges, marks from shoes/boots, etc, it helps get them off.

McKees Quick Interior Detailer is nice stuff. It doesn't leave streaks on clear plastics and head unit screens. Smells like men's cologne for about a day. Then the smell is gone.

This is why I uses the 303. It doesn’t leave any residue but offers great UV protection. I mean, it’s designed for the marine industry and most retailers swear by it because it doesn’t leave residue or a film.

Also...the 303 protectant has a SPF40 rating. If that means anything to you.

Put armor all on one arm and 303 on the other and report back which one is burnt and the one that isn’t.

Sonax makes great products but shoe/boot prints on the dash, what are you doing?
