The parking brake pedal on my wifes new sr5 is very soft. It is very easy to push it all the way to the floor. Not at all like the PBP in my mini van (same push on push off pedal) or any other car ive driven.
Is this correct or does it need to be adjusted? Im not sure how well it holds the truck... havnt really tested that aspect yet.

All the way to the floor? Not right. About 3/4 to 4/5 of the way... that's about right.

Im sure i could easilly hit the floor with it. Point is.. does the 4runner have a much easier to push PB than other cars?
We've all used parking brakes- pedals and hand brakes- and they all feel about the same. The 4runner doesnt feel the same.

I’ve had parking brakes adjusted before. I have never done it myself so I can’t offer directions, but my guess is it’ll be simple for the dealer.

During a routine service, I had my E-brake adjusted and it felt a little firmer.
It could be something as simple as the pivot ratio being reengineered for a lighter pedal feel.
My own driveway is below street grade and at approx. 32*, the E-brake does hold the 4R (either facing uphill or downhill) and a loaded 6x10 trailer.
Also I set the brake before I shift into Park.
