Ironically I just saw this a few minutes ago here: https://www.4runners.com/threads/rear-bumper-tire-carrier.6642/
But, I have never seen any "6 inch Kits" before this. It's custom. Maybe someone will chime in with more knowledge. Good Luck!

FabTech is not the preferred method to lifting. It requires cutting the frame of your 4Runner and does not provide any more wheel travel as far as lifts go. Just my $.02.

If coupled with a pair of aftermarket coilovers I can't see why this wouldn't provide more travel?.. as well as significantly more ground clearance paired with probably a set of 35s (aside from the bracket). Now if this kit provides oem strut extensions and is what the OP plans to use then yes you'll still be on oem travel.

The one thing to watch is most of these kits push the knuckles out significantly and typically replace the OEM ones resulting in an awful turning radius.

I personally am not a fan of drop brackets tbh, I had a fabtech on my lifted Silverado and the bracket got hung up on everything. If you're going to go drop bracket lift I strongly suggest finding one that isn't a giant billboard that will get hung up on everything... Unless this is purely cosmetic? I don't know if high clearance drop brackets exist for the 4runner.

Well if you want to cut your frame, and spend an additional $4k on a Total Chaos long travel lift kit I guess that would put you close to 6". Your vehicle and money.....

^^^ All good reasons I stayed away from this type on my 4th and 5th gens. The 1st gen PO had one already installed when I bought it. He was building the truck for his 16 yr old daughter and the bracket was used and a cheaper way to go. IMHO Go with quality shocks and springs with a body lift and you can get close.

I agree with this statement... If you must achieve 5"+. It's not worth sacrificing turning radius imo.

Of course this all goes out the window if this is all for show... Go billboard lift and powdercoat the diff/control arm drop bracket with some 20x12s and 35s.. lol!

The 4runner in the picture above is mine. I don't know anything about cutting the frame but if it was done I cant find it. As for capabilities, Its been across the Rubicon 4 times and Barrett's lake 2 times (that I can remember). No problems. I have also had it in 3 feet of powdered snow a few times with excellent results. To each his own I guess.

Well there ya go, someone with actual experience with said bracket lol. My apologies Sir. My rigs have never even touched anything like Rubicon so I can't talk any shit. Bad ass looking rig you have there. [IMG]
