I got this to put power to the light for the lisense plate. I believe it will do a good job. I will use some zip ties and dielectric grease on the connector plug to waterproof and hold in place. Also just ordered SSO offroad Backup camera relocate kit ($49.99). I think I will order the Baja Ladder off of Amazon,when I get the money, I like how they offset the rails.

Catch can installed today. Too many other appliances mounted in my engine bay. Had to get creative.

 

I also did the extended warranty and for some reason I always get a bad feeling about doing so....but with 5 computers on the 4 and stories of how the $800 a piece window regulators sometimes go out, it may have been a good thing. Time will tell.

I wasn’t aware the 5th gen had a start up screen, I used it on my 3rd gen taco, is it done the same way? Thank you for helping me with my laziness and not looking myself.

 

So I was under the impression that a negative offset causes your tires to stick out more, but yours is a positive offset and they look like they are peaking out past your fender well quite a bit. Do I have that backwards?

 

I have no idea if it's done the same way...but it's super easy to figure out by just playing around in the settings.

 

I picked my newly decked engine block up from the machine shop and began re-assembling the lower part of the engine.

 

Xenon Depot HID's installed - Had these left over from my Taco, just now got around to installing them in the 4Runner.

 

Now if you can just tie a recorder in line to the front and rear to act as a dash cam setup and have it constantly loop

Looks Great! … You can always drill a hole adjacent to clasp for mounting a lock, but you can’t stop thieves! I like the finish touches on adding the welds. What’s the brand again?

I butchered the bracket used for the rear RH roof rack mount.


I had to drill out the bolt, that bracket is supposed to be flat! I spun it to where it broke loose and twisted itself up and I stripped the bolt head. What I learned from my F-up... the bolts are locktite’d at the factory and some significant torque is required to get past the seal. So, do not remove one bolt before freeing up the other.
I am going to use washers and nuts to replace this ruined bracket. I hope to have the Prinsu put on tomorrow afternoon and share the finished result!

I was furious with myself. I knew better. Going with the nut and bolt replacement wasn’t bad but I used a generous glob of silicone and a rubber washer on the inside to assure no water entry. I’m surprised they don’t recommend the silicone in the directions, they did when I put my Prinsu on my taco. I have the Prinsu 90% installed and feel completely confident with it. The remaining 10% is the non-drill front bracket install.
