    HELP!

Anybody know if this is normal. Toyota dealership did a LED upgrade to my low beams and foglights on my brand new 2019. They drilled holes in the bulb cover and didnt use a gasket or electrical tape to seal it up. I now have moisture in one of my foglights and am also worried about it with my headlights. The buob cover shown in pic is my low beams

Yeah dealers suck at mods. In fact dealers suck at just about everything except for ripping people off. I wouldn't accept that but that's me.

That looks like they took a dull knife to it to make the hole and yes, it should be sealed up with a wire grommet

That looks like total crap I’d demand money back or replace the light housings that now are full of moisture... and this time do the install your self.. I had to have a fog light harness and wires all replaced on my old 06 Tacoma and the tech who did the work didn’t even get the bulb seated in the housing properly just sad that an easy task they screw up ..

    Holy shit lol.

Edit- OP do me a favor, and pull on the cables going into the cover. Or, rotate the cover off, and see if there is a grommet on th wires they just shoved in there for me.
Tech that did this, should be slapped, then, let go. Good hell.

Curious what they say when you take it back. If that's acceptable I'll give my 9 yo a knife to start modding whatever he wants

They tried saying that it's not a big deal and used excuse that high beams dont even have dust covers nor do older models. I told them fix anyway or I was cancelling my check for the vehicle. Needless to say they're fixing my dust covers on low beams and didnt charge me for install on my high beams and filled up my gas tank for me

ghetto. they should at least shoot some RTV silicone in that hole. else you'll get massive condensation and eventually have corrosion on the bulb contacts :(

Sometimes it takes pushing back to get through to the dealership.
I had a similar issue last week & now a new manager who heard about it wants to give is carwashes, fuel & a buff job as I found paint flaws after a good wash (took delivery during a big snow melt & rain. With 50 miles I didn't think to look that close).
They are very apologetic and want to make it right.
That is a horrible hack job they did & I am glad they came correct for you!
Enjoy the lighting and your new truck!

Here is a picture of a JB Wield patch on o oil feed line to my turbo on my 2012 GLI. Dropped it off for a warranty intake swap and they convinced me the toro was going. They had always had my back from the sale to all sch and warranty work. Never tried to up sell. They busted out a cast iron collar and jury rigged it.
Patch failed. Took a week of back and forth, but I stood firm and they replaced the motor. Think a small white lie helped. Told the General manager while we were under the car discussing how the tech ruined my block I caught in the background while filming the damage the lead shop technician giving the kid who worked on my car he’ll because he JB’ed the block and with the failed patch and oil loss they burn up my motor. I did not have it on tape but everyone heard him say it. Took a week of standing/ more politely than I have ever been/ firm. They did the right thing and ate the cost for a new motor. Now I Check all work no matter who did it, before I pay or accept my vehicle back
