    Only in Cali!!:crapstorm:
Some of those sky high curb crawlers are a little outrageous

"It seems California is leading the way to continually disenfranchise the state with the proposed state bill AB-3006 which would kill lifted trucks. The state bill AB-3006 is proposed to be put to a vote at the next assembly. Spearheaded by California’s 12th congressional district representative Nancy Pelosi, the bill proposes legal ramifications to personal motorized vehicles categorized as a light-duty, medium-duty, or heavy-duty truck."

It’s no higher than a tractor-trailer. They should make it OK with a CDL license....or retitle it as a Special Construction Vehicle title...

Yeah I did and then just reread it again and found the very very last sentence. :D Felt kind of dumb about it but then noticed look how no one thought it could have been BS or an April fools joke because California lawmakers are that crazy.

For instance no other state sets up check points at their border and elsewhere to check diesel truck emission compliance, normal trucks, not semi trucks. Totally targeting a certain group of people! I could go on an on but every one here gets the point. It's a beautiful state but I would never live there unless in the service and had to.

I live on the opposite coast and have no dogs in this fight but I don't get why a truck needs to be lifted to the sky. The one in the picture is a little over the top in my opinion but whatever...

California does have a law about lifting truck over a certain number of inches.......like the truck shown in the picture above would clearly not be street legal. I suspect many states have a similar law and I think it's reasonable considering how dangerous it could get with massive body lifts.

Emission regulations are a necessity here. We have such a large concentrated population, some of the worst traffic in the nation, and weather patterns that can leave air stagnant for weeks on end that lung disease (among other things) would spike without those regs.

Everyone shits on California as being a nanny state and don't get me wrong, we have a lot of ridiculous regs.....but one thing we don't have are those manditory state safety inspections that many of you have to do once a year or every other year (whatever it is). That seems like nanny state shit if you ask me. :der:
