Hello all! Brand spankin' new to the YOTA community! I am currently looking to figure out best options for a suspension lift. I am wondering if for the time being I'm mostly just wanting to get rid of the rake, if it would be best to just spend the money on some decent adjustable front shocks and coil overs rather than spacers, then deal with the rear in the future. I've been on the fence between the BOSS 4R210's and the Bilstein 5100's which seem to be pretty popular from what I've read (even if only for the slightly better price)
My vehicle is also equipped with KDSS and I am curious if that will be an issue with either of those products.
    All help much appreciated!

    Welcome!

An Wheelers Offroad is having a summer sale right now. Check out the Eibach Pro lift system. May be a good fit for you.

Having lifted two 4R’s with KDSS you won’t have any issues. You may have to do the KDSS calibration though per the attached guide.

Great! Thanks for the info. Do you have any recommendations for kits or are the 2 I mentioned both good options?

I ran OME on my 4Runners. I like it and it supported a winch and ARB bar on my previous 2010 Trail. It’s a more budget friendly option but isn’t a smooth riding as a setup like King and Fox. Also, depends on springs and weight to determine how smooth the ride will be with OME.

One of my all time favorite vendor to buy from. Bought a lot of stuff from them for both my Tacoma and 4Runner. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again

Agreed. Made my mind up a long time ago to never do business again with Donahoe racing (Icon). Just can't get past their past.

Well shit I honestly haven't been keeping up with off road before this.

I used to prefer lower and faster. If I knew what I learned in the last 15 min I wouldn't of bought it.

Kyle you didn't know and never would because it's not known these days since they were smart and completely restructured the business. Their suspension is still good at what it does so just enjoy it.
I didn't mean to bring you down, was just saying I won't do business with them and was not passing judgement on any one who does. I used to have some Donahoe products on my Tacoma back in 2004.

I understand I just wouldn't of supported them either good product or not.

Someone else could of taken my money.

I often wonder how many other businesses have sketchy pasts? I bet if we really looked at the businesses we buy from we would be rich because we wouldn't spend any money. :D

I'm sure all have something against them at one point.

    Just some more than other.

Dobinsons suspension. They have specific KDSS springs. I used their setup (springs, shocks, struts, diff drop) on my 2018 TRD offroad with KDSS. Ride quality is awesome and it sits perfect. NO kdss lean like in other kits.

I’m running a full OME setup that I installed myself (2nd OME suspension on a KDSS equipped 4R) and haven’t had the KDSS lean. Haven’t even had to do the KDSS calibration.

All in all, any suspension you put on the KDSS 4R is susceptible to the KDSS lean. If you hack the valve screws out a few MM and shake the truck on a flat surface, itsll correct whatever lean you may have. Also, remember that a .787” difference between driver and passenger is considered acceptable per toyota. See attached.
