    Nothing yet. Just wait.
Ok, I'm the latest new guy. Earlier in my life I had an '81 CJ-7 that my family and I explored CO with. For the last 18 years I've been driving a '96 4Runner. Never made any mods to it. Later this week I'm to pick up a new rig in Magnetic Gray. Can't wait to get it out for fly fishing and hiking 14ers this summer.

I'm not going to go crazy with it but I need some advice on getting some more clearance. I don't want to be bashing my rocker panels. What's your recommended course of action to get some more lift?

    Welcome.
I would buy rock sliders instead of a lift.
Keeps every spec to factory & adds functionality.

    Welcome!

It just depends on what you intend to do! @4Runner fun is right, sliders are a great place to start. They give you all the rocker protection you need, double as a step, and protect your doors/body on and off the trail. I have a 3" lift (which is a great height on the 4Runner) and 285 70R17s. If you are going to lift it I'd recommend 3" but you wouldn't necessarily have to go that big with the tires (There is a little bit of inner fender trimming required).

You both just missed our slider group buy! But call in and let them know you are from the forum and missed it, I'm sure they'll help you out ;)

Welcome fellow Colorado native..! Sounds like you made a great choice :D. A simple leveling kit could give you a couple of inches, or a much more expensive suspension lift would do the same... just depends on you. One thing to remember is the ride greatly improves more so with a suspension lift.
