Or instead of having a payment for a new corolla but a 20 year old one for 2 grand and half the insurance cost and get the same gas mileage...

In town I expect low teens.
On our trip (from not to) Colorado I will hyper mile a T4R for fun & see if I can get close to what Toyota says!
My diesel plow truck gets 5mpg during work. I expected this! Lol
Loved "suck it up butter cup"!

I'm getting 17.2 combined right now. When I was in Florida, I was getting 19+ and on one occasion I got 21.

What oil are you using & where do you buy your fuel? Do you use premium gas?
    Great numbers!

Still on the original oil (about 7K on the truck)
21 MPG tank was bought at pilot on burnt store road in Punta Gorda. That was all highway cruising at 70. I was trying to see what I could get.

Back in Wisconsin I usually go to kwik trip

That's what mine gets also. The lowest it goes is when I tow the dirt bikes- 15-16 combined- all hand calculated

An I use a 2005 Camry with 190,000 miles on it a lot for running around town

I hand calculate and get from 18 to high 20. Worst I ever got was 17 at 70 MPH fighting a NM headwind. Most of my driving is 60-65 MPH on the road going from town to town in my area and back and forth to school twice a week. On longer trips, 200 miles one way at 70mph+ on cruise control I usually get 19 to 21.

I don't do any jack rabbit starts, I am pretty sensible with the throttle and I use at least 88 octane from a top tier dealer. I have found that lower tier gas, Safeway, Sam's Club, etc. will definitely make a difference in mileage. 4 Wheeling will drop the mileage considerably, but I don't consider that in my averages.

Right now the mileage average on the dash is showing 19.6 with no longer trips and no 4WD. When hand calculated, I find that it is usually a little better.
