Any of you guys installed an LED headlights that fits inside the headlight housing without having to drill a hole on the dust cover to pass the wires? If so what brands are you guys using?

I’ve called Precision LED and they said that their LED are small enough that they fit inside the housing. There just a bit pricey though and I don’t know too much about this company and if there even good.

True HIDs are better. Did you have to drill a hole on the dust cap? Most of the HIDs I found online required you drill a hole on the dust cap.

Yes why are you so concerned about a hole? The lights have a gasket that covers the hole and keeps dirt out. Not a big deal. Install was 20 minutes total

As long as it comes with a gasket I’m ok with that. I seen some YouTube videos were they used electrical tape to seal it. Very sloppy and not something I would want.

That’s a clean install. What brand HID are you using?

It's a 4300k bulb. Purchased the system on ebay based on a recommendation from this forum. Installed in November.

Ive had good luck with HIDS from DDMtuning. Ive had them in my excursion and third gen for about 2 years with no problems. Way better than LEDs in my opinion as well .

I ran HID in my 3rd gen tacoma and got tired of being flashed, even when adjusted correctly. The “bobble” of the long bulb when I hit bumps bothered me and I personally think it will shorten the life of the bulb.
I did LED on the 4buggy and I don’t see enough difference to say I should have gone HID. Haven’t been flashed once and no annoying bobble of the bulb either!

No bobble or flash with my HIDs in my T4R. No flashing from other cars either.

I have yet to have any "bobble" I know what you mean tho . I put some 7" LED off-road lights on the bumper to flash back haha! I switched from LEDs to HIDS and the HIDS seemed to have a further and more direct spread. The LEDs seem brighter up close but not near the distance.
