The Pro grill looks great! Now get the Pro wheels and some good offroad tires!

In all honesty, I will get the orange boxx for my other side. They are my geographical neighbors and recommended by my friends at blue ridge overland gear, but I don’t want anyone to think that victory doesn’t make a good product too.

Still working on my wish list, but first I have to buy the second 4Runner. I'm honestly having a hard time letting go of the Taco. There are still things that I like about it, but a couple pages in a notebook have been filled with wants

Reaction was great. She would have killed me if I filmed her crying. Even though it was happy crying. We have been together for 10 years and I have never witnessed her that shocked or surprised in my life. She had been sending me photos of white 4runners all day including the one I bought her asking if we can schedule appointments to look at them.

I sent her this picture half way through the day. It’s right after the lot delivered it to me at work. It’s parked next to my 03. I even told her it was hers, but she ignored the text thinking I was joking obviously. Lol

The private resell is so much better. I've talked to a couple of dealerships around Nashville and since they know trading isn't something that I have to do, I keep getting the low ball trade offers. And no, not going to eat $2-3k. If I can sell it, I can make that much or more which means instant mods (just don't tell my wife) ;)

I've owned a truck my whole driving life, from 16-39 years old. I was nervous to ditch the truck for a 4Runner, but I'm glad I did. I can haul just about anything I did in the truck with the back seats folded down. If something is really tall, you can always rent a trailer from Home Depot, but I haven't had to do that yet.

Even being a truck guy my whole life, I'm really happy with the 4Runner. It's the closest SUV you can get to a truck really.

I know, they're great. I've owned three 4Rs but have always had a truck (4R is the wife's ride). The cargo capacity of the bed isn't the issue for me, it's the money and tech (again, not the TSS) the new Taco has. When I bought it I planned to have it be the last purchase for me for a long while so I got basically every option possible in a TRDOR.

Always had a truck also until my 1989 FJ 62 was my daily driver. Realized I like the SUV also and when I got the 4 I went out and bought a utility trailer shortly after. Now I have a 5x10 truck bed I can attach behind my 4. Sometimes I do miss a truck but for the most part it is not needed. If I go back to one it will be a one ton gas engine. Over built and inefficient, just like the 4Runner.

No worries. I really like the low stance with the large tires. If you find out, let me know.

I had the opposite experience. After years of Jeeps and Blazers, etc, I got intrigued by the Chevy Colorado ZR2, bought one and had it for a year. Occasionally, the truck bed was indispensable. But most of the time, especially since I needed to keep a cover over the bed, it was a pain to access. And my longstanding pleasure of stopping somewhere, opening the tailgate and leaning against the second row seats, while taking in whatever landscape was there ... I'd have had to keep a mattress back there. Plus, at 212 inches in length, it was just too big for a daily driver. Perhaps, most of all, since I didn't really have regular use for a truck, I was always asking myself what I was doing with it. But it was a beast offroad!

I just hurt myself by buying both of the vehicles I wanted. If I end up with two, I'll go the route of @sfoffroad and buy a utility trailer if I really need the cargo space. Just not looking to take a huge hit on a trade. I'd be willing to if I hated the Taco but I don't.

What year Tacoma? I bought my 2016 brand new and couldn't stand the anemic 3.5 Has zero power down low, has to be over 3500 and drop down 2 gears just to get up a hill. Traded is in after 8 months and 3500 miles and bought my 4Runner brand new. I don't regret it for a second either. It's sad, the 3rd gen Tacoma is a beautiful truck, the 3.5 is just by no means a truck engine and that 6 speed auto is not what I expect out of a Toyota product.

It's a 2018. With the new transmission updates it actually drives well. It's not that I don't like the Taco, I just like the 4R better in some aspects.

I have to have your back in this one. I had my ‘16 for 2.5 years and got to where I couldn’t stand it any more. I even OV tuned it and it still couldn’t help it’s poor motor and trany. My profile is still up on TW for those that don’t believe I didn’t try anything to like my taco. https://www.tacomaworld.com/members/marbleyard.192084/

I still frequent TW Bunch of great guys there and quite a few on them own 4Runners also. When you run 33" AT tires and 4.88 gears and you still can't climb a hill in 6th gear, 5th gear, and 4th gear still lags, there's a major issue lol. Other than the engine and transmission, I loved everything about it.

I also came from the 3rd gen Tacoma crowd. Also a TacomaWorld guy. Blazingbluesport. I had a early build 2016 from the Baja plant. Basically the beta version. And yes my old man gave me the “don’t ever buy the first model year of a new car” lecture. I traded in a second gen just because I loved the look of the truck so much. I really wanted to like the truck but I had just about every TSB issue there was and 2 safety recalls. I don’t even remember how many times they reflashed and updated the ECM, though the most recent one maybe the -0077 flash did help the shift issues and seem to get out of the gate quicker. Two third brake light leaks put me over, after the second one and having to fight Toyota to replace my headliner, I traded it in for a T4R OR KDSS. No regrets, no buyers remorse. I do kinda miss the look of the old truck, a nicely modded 3rd gen is a sharp looking truck. I hope Toyota doesn’t have plans to drop that Atkinson cycle engine into the 4Runner and get rid of the 4.0.

I came from Tacoma World also and still have a 2nd gen that my son drives. There was no way i was going to buy a 3rd gen Tacoma with that engine and transmission. Love my 4runner!
