I have a 2004 4Runner SR5 2wd that I use 5 days out of the week to tow roughly 2500 lbs. I want to lift & also upgrade the suspension to reduce the stress put on the rear. Any suggestions for complete kits? I have read that air bags in the rear could also be helpful for towing - is anyone running a setup for this?

As for wheels, I love the Method Race Wheels Standard Machined wheels -- looking at 18x9 with 5.75" spacing.

For tires I have read good reviews on the street wear of Toyo R/T & M/T as well as BFG Ko2 & M/T. Depending on lift size I think 33-35" would be ideal in terms of looks, but not sure if that will sacrifice the towing aspect.

Please follow & let me know what you are running for towing set ups & any suggestions you have.

One thing I can say for sure is those wheels and larger tires will not help you with towing. That will be a lot more rolling resistance.

This, and also it will give you taller gears that will make your tranny cry when towing.
