When I drive in snow, sand, etc, the traction control kicks in and I can hear the brakes doing their thing. Mostly keeping the back end from kicking out. Keeping the vehicle straight. All good.

When I turn traction control off, and see the little icon on the dash indicating "off", there is much less chattering. But if I get too crazy (still way below 30mph), I still do get some chattering.

It's like it's mostly off, but not totally. What's going on here? If I turn it off, why isn't it totally off? Or is that chattering part of another "safety system"?

Cool. Thanks. Will that also turn on auto-LSD like my old Tacoma?

(That's how I remember it happening- I could be wrong)
