Not BMW math. Retail sales to customers including fleet as reported by dealers. Tacoma is on pace to set a new record this year. YouTube bozo’s that film themselves loitering on dealership lots are creating their own false narratives by intentionally confusing sales with high inventories. All they’re actually illustrating is that there are really good deals out there. Regarding the 2.4T, truth is that so far, it’s been proving itself. Until there’s real data otherwise, you can’t troll this motor.

Yeah...no, with the exception of direct to consumer sellers in some states by Tesla and such, traditional automakers including Toyota and BMW use the same kind of math.

There are currently 1100 Tacos listed for sale in my area, while F series including all segments comes to 1950ish units. By 4Hopper Logic Toyota should be selling about 400k units of Tacos this year. Can't wait for that to happen, maybe the 2024s will finally sell by EOY 2025. LOL. Nothing says "smashing success" like trucks being on the lot for 6 months to a year even with 10% or more on the hood.

Note that 2024 was an dramatically low year so the record to beat is 2021 with about 252k sales that year, all that "YoY growth" notwithstanding. But hey, heavy discounts handed out on Tacomas in its 2nd year of a brand new design in a decade and half has to be good news.

That’s insane. The replacement engine lasted less miles than the original. WTF is going on Toyota? How do you no longer know how to build an engine?

Perplexing too as this is arguably their flagship motor now used across the LS, LX, J300 series LC, Tundra, and GX.
