They look good! Are you lifted at all?

 

I am. Accutune 2/1 Fox Lift, Method 701’s 17x8.5 0 offset with the MT’s. I had them on a few days before I installed the lift yesterday, no rubbing with daily driving.

Great thread. My modest contribution: P285/70/17 SL, on RRW R7, Matte Black, 0 offset.

 

I’m considering going from 285 to 295, got about 10-15k left on mine. And I’m getting twitchy

already had my bmc, but going back to StellarBuilt this week and might need to do the pinch weld. If they see anything else I’ll just do it early.

Believe it or not it's cheaper to modify jeeps, aftermarket is insane

Smart guy, Willys is the best deal. Believe it or not, that 2024 Willys, has the same exact front Dana axle as the 2023 392 Wrangler Rubicon. You can throw 37-in mud terrains in there, and it will be fine

 

I saw this Willys on 37 in Baja Legend MTZ's few weeks back. Jeep is just a different animal. But our rigs are comfortable and spacious, what are you going to do with this little thing! I can't imagine driving that thing on a long road trip

I have put 4K on the MT so far and they seem ok, they are a bit louder than the faulken wild peaks, but have performed ok. I actually have a hard time distinguishing from one set to another but the MT do look more aggressive and more capable. I just got them rebalanced after this offroad trip and discount tire did notice them a bit off, but they were brand new of course.

 

Had my Duratracs for a few years now (35k+) and they have been awesome in the rain snow and off roading. My initial research paid off!

But these Baja Boss Look to be similar and have more standard ratings. If they are as good in the rain as my Duratracs i may switch. It sounds like they are just as noisy as mileage goes up, but snow/rain/off road are most important to me. I'm curious how they do over time for you guys. It will be hard to beat the Duratracs.

 

Baja gang! Got a set of Baja boss 265/70/17. I only have experience with KO2, good tires, not so great in the rain. Ready to get these dirty.

Well, I put this set thru hell literally this week (hells revenge famous trail in Moab) and probably 100 miles more of hard offroading, temperature outside 102 to 105. Went down to 17psi thru the trails and back to 32 on the Hwy. I have to say they are better than the wildpeaks and even the K02s. My only complaint is that they are a bit loud...but you can't have it both ways anyway.

 

Need a little help from folks in the know. My current K02 load C are not long for this world, and I’m starting to think about tire option. Last time I bought tires, I considered the MT BBs but got a little confused with the tire load rating options Mickey Thompson has on their site.

I just found out the XL load rating is half way between Load C and E. That’s good to know. But here’s the rest of my confusion.

I’m not sure if I’m reading this right, but the Mickey Baja Boss AT in 285/70-17 is only available in either “standard” load, or E load. The XL load is only available in the stock size. Does “standard” load mean the same thing as a SL passenger tire? Also, I thought I saw their website used to have “suv” rated tires, but can’t seem to find that anymore, so I’m not sure if their “SUV” line represents a different level of construction compared to “standard” load.

I’m getting close to needing to buy another set. I’m happy with the Load C K02s and want a similar level of toughness for my next set.

I really like the Mickeys, but I don’t want Load E, and I’m not sure I want a passenger SL tire either. So I want to avoid “standard” load if it’s the same thing as SL.

I’m pretty confused between all the nomenclature . Anybody’s knowledge on this is greatly appreciated!!!

 

I did like my SL 285’s but was getting cupping on them around 3000 miles. Did not like that. My mechanic been with for years had told me when I got them he seen a lot of those tires with the all terrain and that big block of the tire on the edge where they would cause cupping a lot from other vehicles he would get in the shop. I removed them and sold them. Put the new Nitto G3’s on.

 

If I had kept my 4Runner my next set was going to be the Micky Ts. If I ever get another they’ll go on pretty quickly.

 

@McSpazatron - I’m far from a tire expert. But isn’t there correlation between load rating and max psi? Like the more durable the tire the greater the max psi?

I could be way off here. But it just popped into my cranium.. ?
