Might be. My biggest issue is the letters don't work with the 40th Anniversary Bronze OEM overlays but the spray paint seems to have taken care of it well enough for my liking. $300 for just the part with the letters from Toyota is pretty crazy.

Absolutely agree. When I wash the car I like to spray the black cover piece with ceramic wax spray to keep it from fading in the sun. Mine looks like new still.

I had the opposite experience. I originally had the Cartrimhome grill and the fit was crappy and the finish started peeing after a couple years. Bit the bullet for the OEM piece and the quality was much better.

Eibach stage 2, load lifter kit, Maggie w/ OTT tune... Other stuff.
I must have looked at the plastic gauge cover wrong when i was figuring out where to mount the wideband a/f gauge. 2nd time replacing this ultra soft plastic part. Playing with 3M clear protection film but can't get it installed without glue lines.

    Interesting. Thank-you!
Also interesting…I still don’t see it after searching. And there’s only 3 products that come up under this brand (bumpers), but they all say sold out when you click.
Maybe being located in Canada is a problem. Friggin Canada.

I would be weary of these cheap roof racks.

Look at the space between the wind faring and the roof. Too much gap.

Well designed roof racks have very minimal or no gap between the roof and the wind faring.

For future readers .. there are at least two well known discussions about these racks as mentioned here:
    https://old.reddit.com/r/4Runner/comments/1l1y43g/i_bought_it_so_you_didnt_have_to_temu_250_roof/

when you dig down through the conversation .. you see a few points
    https://old.reddit.com/r/4Runner/co...t_so_you_didnt_have_to_temu_250_roof/mvos497/
"If you do purchase, you need to also do two things:
    1. Buy some silicone and silicone seal the mounting points. I elected to reuse the factory hardware and rubber washers, but just to be safe, seal it.
    2. Buy some clear 3M wrap, or something similar so that the front coping doesn’t get dirt between itself and the paint, sanding it off over time. I actually bought a 4’ plastic home corner guard (thanks for the idea Ace Hardware man), and cut it in half down the middle, then to length. Works like a charm."
    and later
    https://old.reddit.com/r/4Runner/co...t_so_you_didnt_have_to_temu_250_roof/mvp6otj/
"Commenter below you is absolutely right! With the plate up front, I hear no difference at all, actually provides a wee bit of (possibly imaginary) downforce at speed that feels like it lessens my body roll."

another conversation around this Temu/Amazon/Generic rack:
    https://old.reddit.com/r/4Runner/comments/1lfo04a/i_too_bought_the_temu_roof_rack_so_you_dont_have/

like so many things, do your own research.. weigh the cost, risk and use for you and then decide if a $1000 choice or $300 rack is right for you.
The rack these alternatives are modeled after: https://prinsu.com/product/t4r5-prinsu-roofrack-full-no-drill-2/

Installed 2 rear interior molle panels (Cali-Raised). Now it looks like my 62 lb Golden Retriever is a Velociraptor.

Hey for anyone about to pick up cleaning supplies, polish etc. I have a 20% discount code for autogeek.net that has no minimum. I just ordered everything I need so I won't be using it. It's generic so possibly no limit, annoying since the coupon code I *did* find yesterday was $200 minimum.

    Code: "SAVE20"

    Well, over the course of the past week I've done the following changes/add-ons to my recently acquired 2023 TRD OFR Prem;

New wheels (Overland Sector Venture Wheels) and tire (BF Goodrich KO3's)
Never Inside cell phone holder (worth every penny)
3W floor mats, a big upgrade from the OEM ones that were on the vehicle.
Black Out overlay from Toyota, not cheap but a perfect fit.
And a trailer hitch supporting the every suffering Maple Leafs.

Just replaced the stock rear Tokico shocks with.....

    ....another set of Tokico shocks.

Made it 130k on the first set but could have replaced them a little earlier.

I'm one of the rare birds that actually likes the way Tokicos handle in the rear. Up front I think they're too soft and under-valved so I replaced those a long time ago but I feel like the rear shocks are really well matched (at stock weight).

Anywho, got a new pair from the factory for $100. They sell them in a "set" for $50. According to Toyota, a "set" equals one shock. So if you decide to buy from Toyota's online parts store make sure you get two before you drive down to the dealer and pick up one shock labeled as a "set."

Those mats will be great at catching your tears when the Leafs get eliminated in the playoffs again next year :p

Hand-washed and dried the T4R today, after a long week’s worth of work.

Afterwards, I added a custom sicker to the rear door. Shoutout to @IglooGurl for a custom font!

But not really. Got a scoop of decorative rock and 7 70 lb pavers. Bump stops sitting on the axle.
