Nice choice on the Apache UCA's. They are beefy and what I run.

Sorry they look the same as Apache. Couldn't read the sticker.

How do you like the Elka suspension. I ended up going with Eibach.

Rides like a Cadillac but pricey. When they need rebuilding i will be putting Dobinson IMS in to swap. Really impressed with the Dobinson's bang for buck premium feature shock at reasonable price. For most users the premium shocks don't make sense. I don't daily the rig and am at a point in my life decided to go all in so I knew what the top end shocks are like. My trusted Toyota shop runs Elka on their rigs and likes them. Any of the big boys Fox, Kings, Accutune are similar performance just trade offs.

I was considering Elka but I couldn't justify the cost since I lifted it for looks. The most off roading I do is the beach and maybe a little mud.

You might check Toytec as the word on the street is they are rebadged Elka (or use Elka parts)
    Toytec Aluma (Elka rebadged?)

Elka like all brands makes several grades of shocks. The Toytec are a cheaper model.

Thanks for the information but I went with Eibach Pro Lift Stage 2 adjustable 2"-4" adjustable coilovers and 1" rear springs with shocks

If you have some more technical details on this, I'd like to read about it. These little quips like the one I linked to previously rarely have any actual data to help future readers.

I will be the first to admit I dont have much experience with Toytec other than running their rear coils. This response is from the vendor indicating Elka builds them per Toytec specs. Not the same specs as the Elka shocks. Maybe the Toytecs are great, doesn't seem alot of people running them.

    https://www.4runners.com/threads/toytec-aluma-series-boss-suspension-system.19733/#post-241755

Dirt King also has Elka make their shocks. Not many people running these but they do interest me good reviews though limited.

Ok, nothing in Toytec's response indicates they opted for lesser materials (cheaper), but that entirely could be the case (unlikely).. but Toytec does provide the specifications for the shocks/struts (rebound and valving) so not a 100% clone of Elka -- good information. Thanks for the reference.

This very well could be equated to Kirkland brand vs Henkel (Persil) for detergent
    https://old.reddit.com/r/laundry/comments/1j9kzjo/do_you_love_kirklands_laundry_detergent_better/

Where of course Kirkland is a brand and doesn't directly manufacture anything, BUT they use high quality manufactures to their specifications (which are often better than others).

and if this comparison is a bit lost on you, this youtube channel will help

Elkas or any of the premium shocks are not cost effective for most. Diminishing returns on cost/benefit. Tandem off road is who recommended them to me thinking they are the "best" but this is subjective, everyone's got a different opinion. They do have a relationship with Elka and ordered them pre set for my build.
