My sincerest apologies because I’m sure this has been asked before but I’m not the best at navigating forums. I have a 24 limited in pearl white. I don’t love the color but slim pickings since it was the last year of 5th gen. I hate chrome. What are my delete options? Is anything permanent? Has anyone painted it the body color? The front is PPF’d if that matters. Thank you

Do you have a budget in mind? Wrapping them is probably your most cost efficient route (outside of plastidipping them).

You can buy the TRD Sport front end parts for about $250 that are paintable. Then you can paint them and swap them out and have this:
If you want to swap everything out for the TRD Sport parts you can get all of them and paint it all and delete the chrome completely.
Bottom picture is a TRD Sport which has all the chrome painted body color.

thanks! I got a quote for plastidip of $850. I thought that’s not permanent though. Do you have experience with it?

It’s so nice looking. How much (roughly) is it to get it painted?

a body shop would likely charge you around $400 to do all the small parts as a whole
The front bumper wings, center bumper, small thin brows, under door pieces, bumper piece, and rear hatch piece. This is assuming you’d take them off or take new ones to the body shop. If you’re wanting them to pull it all apart the labor would likely go up quickly.

Its not, and thats a pretty high quote for Plastidip. I would not go that route if it were me. I would either paint (as other members have suggested) or get a quote for having the chrome pieces wrapped. However, I don't know if they make a wrap that will color match the rest of your car so you'd have to decide if you wanted like a black or something else.

I have experience plastidipping Tacoma badges on my previous Tacoma, but wouldn't use it for anything more substantial. It held up great, but started to fade after many years, which would only be more noticeable on larger pieces.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

    ...sheesh, another chrome hater.

Okay, in all serious-ness, painting them body colored would be a great option. Especially if you have the pearl white.

TRD Sport is factory all color matched

Limited I only swapped the chrome for black paintable from the TRD Sport and then painted the front pieces. The rest of the trim is still chrome as you can see. The thin strip under the door, the thin strip on the bumper, and the rear hatch nameplate.

Borla exhaust, Jet MAF sensor, K&N filter, Hayden rapid cool transmission cooler, Hella horns, electric fan, Pedal Commander, Derale power steering cooler,
I think the Nightshade and TRD sport edition have all black chrome or painted trim. Should be the same as Limited.
