Hey man! I hadn’t seen your message. Derrick told me that he’s chatted with you today. They should take care of you no problems.

Was there ever a root cause found for this issue that has been resolved for current new orders?

I am also interested. My Gen 2s got warrantied and was sent the Evos so hoping this is not still an issue. I’ve got the OEM LEDs on a shelf just in case though

@yoshi i Was hoping to get your feedback on the issues above and whether they were identified. Was going to jump on the labor day sale while it was going on if the root cause had been identified and fixed.

We logged some level of issue tendency in the earlier batch, and are attempting to include a logic level update. However, it has not been conclusively confirmed later batch showed a certain solution or not. The latter batch has not been logged to have an issue for now; best to reach CS case by case, whether they assess replacement is needed or not. We are at verifying the effectiveness of the ongoing update, is the current phase.

Appreciate the follow up. Seems like it may be best to wait until the problem has been resolved. Don’t really want to go through the install just to end up having to remove and replace since the front bumper has to come off to install. I am assuming the logic update can’t be done with the unit installed? Or can it be just by replacing the driver attached to the back of each headlight?

There is logic on the internal PCB itself beside the main LED drivers; if you replace it, it will be lamp lamp-level replacement is a suggestion. It is up to you and CS assessment if replacement at this point makes sense or not. I will keep an eye on the conclusive validation of the latter batch issue fix solution, and share update as it come in.

While I cannot say with certainty that the problem has solidly reached a full bulletproof solution yet, few updates have been made, and they appeared to be reasonably effective so far. The production will continue to be monitored and any necessary improvements should be worked on at any time, as with any manufactured product nature.
It's just my personal opinion, but if you like(think) performance and overall product concept is good for you, I do not believe there is a reasonable concern to hold on buying.

For customer who have a persistent issue with a purchased lamp, please contact CS, get them set up under warranty

    Thank you for considering

That's exactly what I did. I don't like that it's always on. I am using the 8 gang panel attached to an accessory tray.

With some diodes and a little wiring, you can bypass the need for a fuse tap and just use the existing headlight outputs. It’s what I did because I also hate fuse taps
