What in the world makes this SR5P 4WD T4R so special? It seems ludicrously over-priced to me. North of 51K? Seriously? This is at my local dealer. I would think even over 40K would be asking too much. I'm glad I got my 2022 pre-owned / certified SR5 Premium 4WD for $35,500.00 before tax and fees in November of 2023.

    But this is total lunacy.

TCP are always overpriced. Guess they are expecting the 6th gen haters to show out with their pocket books. LOL

It isn't white like yours so it isn't prone to paint peeling off by the square foot :stirthepot:

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 35 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 35yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.

I don’t understand why some complain about the white paint. I really like mine. I am having zero complaints / zero concerns / zero issues with the paint on my 2022. The decal inside the driver’s door opening shows that mine was built in June, 2022.

If there was a problem with the white ones, perhaps it was corrected for at the factory by the time mine was built in June of ‘22.

I chose to purchase white due in part to wanting as much reflective sun protection that I could get from the intense sun down here in Central Texas. No regrets on purchasing in white.

In addition, wifey’s RAV4 XLE Hybrid AWD, also built in Japan, is also white. There are no paint issues with it either. It’s holding up well. Her RAV4’s white and my 4Runner’s white look virtually the same to my eye, when viewed together under identical lighting conditions.

In these two pics, my T4R was photographed under bright sun, while I shot this pic of her RAV4 with the sun beginning to set.

We keep our vehicles garaged when they are at home, (except like when I want to take pictures of them, lol) and I keep them washed and clean.

It's a low mileage 23 that was owned by a private person. Usually 1-3 year old low mileage CPO 4Runners are ex-Rentals. Low mileage personally owned 5th gen 4Rs is getting rare these days. The market will tell if the dealer price is wishful thinking or not. I expect the price will come down some before it is sold but there are some people out there looking for non-rental CPOed 4Rs.

On the other hand 6th gen buyers are apparently briskly paying over 70K+ for their rigs so at the end of the day the dealer wins.

Most ex-rentals I stumble across are high mileage- minimum 20,000 mile per year. Seen some in the 30-40k range.

sheeze thats insane. Its no more premium than my 2011 SR5 and no more special that my 2022 Trail Special Editon (which I paid signficantly less than that SR5P).

At a glance its slightly too expensive, but since Toyota reliability going down big time with Tundra and Tacoma, slightly on GX550, 6gen 4Runner its inevitable for 5th gen used prices to skyrocket as long time Toyota buyer like myself who never bought used vehicles before now have zero interest in new Toyotas, now looking to buy certified pre-owned.

Below are prices near me. 12K miles TRD ORP $52K & TRD Pro $60K.

There’s always going to be the “I know what I have!” seller, like that Camaro.

It's all relative. To me 51k for an ORP new in 2023 is insane since I only paid 46k for my 23 ORP and the only factory option it was missing was the front camera. Then in turn 46k for an ORP is insane for someone who paid low 40s in 2020-2022.
