I'm at 140K+ miles on the original. But, I have a replacement in the 4Runner and always carry tools.

I changed mine out at 80k. Rock Auto had a clearance special on Bando serpentine belts, for $8. The original was in decent shape, some cracks but overall good condition. I now use the original as a backup. Had Rock Auto not had that clearance, i would have swapped it at 100k. As for hoses, ill swap them at probably 150k and while im doing it swap the thermostat. Only going to use OEM parts for that.

Just changed mine at 100k as suggested by the manufacturer and went with OEM as my Toyota specialist reamended since he has seen issues with aftermarket. Probably could go more but i like to be proactive and avoid any surprises.

FYI the Aisin-branded thermostat is the same Jap-made Tema part as OEM. Save a few bucks where you can.

Thank you. Appreciate that. I use the AISIN coolant. I’m a big fan of rock auto so I will get that thermostat
