    Fellow Toyota 4Runners,

My name is Brandon and I just like you all I'm a fan of the Toyota 4Runner. I currently have a 2023 Nissan Rogue with about 28,000 miles and in great condition and I'm in the market to definitely sale it ASAP. I am seeking a Toyota 4Runner but with some specifics and I hope you all can help out with this endeavor. I am looking for the following:

    · 2018- present Toyota 4Runner Certified Pre Owned SUV/Crossover
    · 5 or 7 Seats
    · All Wheel Drive
    · Leather Interior
    · Sunroof
    · CD Player
    · Navigation System
    · Key Ignition
    · Less than 40,000 Miles

LOL I know it's specific but hey the heart wants what the heart wants. I look forward to conversing with everyone on this thread it seems very interesting.

Ditch the Rogue and start watching FB Marketplace, Truck Trader, Craigslist, OfferUp for what you want. Never mind stealerships, Carvana, CarMax, used lots. Just everyday Joe’s practicing high levels of maintenance with low levels of abuse. Happy hunting and welcome aboard!

Not sure about the CD player or key ignition…..both were discontinued at some point. Good luck!

I find CarMax has the best search tool if you want to exclude criteria.

If you want full-time 4WD, you’re looking at Limited trim, so you’ll have to see when they last had a key start ignition if they ever did.

Welcome! And thank you for your service.

You mention above wanting “All wheel drive”. Beware that fifth gen 4Runners come with 3 different drivetrains: Some will have 2 wheel (rear wheel drive only.)

Next, some will have part time 4 wheel drive- you can engage and dis-engage the 4WD as needed. When 4WD is dis-engaged, you will be in rear wheel drive.

Next, the so-called “Limited” model of the 4Runner will only come with full time all-wheel drive. You cannot switch the Limited out of all wheel drive. It will always be in all-wheel drive.

You mention going back perhaps as far as a 2018 model, while wanting a “certified” vehicle. I’m not sure how far back in model years Toyota will go in certifying a pre-owned Toyota vehicle. Does anyone here know?

Personally, I am not a fan of sun roofs / moon roofs. I am sometimes a woorywart, and so when it comes to sunroofs, I “worry” about possible water leaks, additional chance for mechanical failure / more to go wrong, and possible decrease of head room space.

I miss the factory CD player that I had in my previous vehicle- 2006 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD 4WD Double Cab. It’s my biggest gripe about my ‘22 T4R- no CD player. I’m an old fart though- not up to speed on some of that high tech crap. At times, to me, less is NOT more. I also love to use the saying- “IF IT AIN’T BROKE, DON’T FIX IT”.

These are just a few things that came to my mind to bring up- some or all of which you may already realize.

I have a 2O22 SR5 Premium 4WD, 5 seats, and I love it. I do not have the third row seating option. They (whoever “they” is) are going to have to pry it from my cold dead fingers before I give it up. I am not tempted by, nor am I an enthusiast of the new 6th gen 4Runner. To a goodly amount of us here, the jury is still out on these things for many reasons. I’ll never buy one. If something happens to my current ‘22 model, like it it ever gets stolen, or some stupid SOB wrecks in to me, I’ll be on the hunt for another fifth gen.

Happy 4Runner hunting. Keep us posted here. And again, welcome.
