I have a 2017 Limited and at 70k miles the suspension is starting to feel off. I live on a ranch and my driveway is a 1 mile gravel road with ruts and bumps and it's basically offroad driving multiple times a day. The dealership wants $5800 to replace the xreas but said I could find another shop to take it out and replace with a regular system. Can anyone recommend a trustworthy shop on Oahu to do the switch? Thanks

Mike’s team at MJ Motorsports did mine, it was amazingly fast and well done! Didn’t charge for the removal on my 2019 when I purchased and had them install the Eibach Pro-Truck Stage 2 and the JBA UCAs that I provided. Great guy/shop.

If you want to keep the Xreas there are a few dealers selling new Xreas shocks on Ebay for about the $900-$1000 range and your shop of choice can just swap your springs and top hat over
The Xreas shocks have a check valve so when you disconnect them, they automatically seal off. They come pre-charged when they are installed and as you tighten the fitting, the oil and canister and lines all marry together. The seals on the shocks are about the only thing i have ever seen go bad, the seals start leaking for some around 70k and some people get as much as 170k miles.
There are plenty of options, Eibach shocks, adjustable and non adjustable. Bilstein shocks, adjustable and non adjustable. Rancho shocks, adjustable and non adjustable. Old Man Emu, adjustable and non adjustable. There are a whole bunch of OE replacements that range from super cheap to super expensive. Its all based on what you want and what you want / need to spend.

Personally, i prefer the Xreas feel and i have been chasing the factory Xreas feel with many different aftermarket shocks on one of mine.
My wife wants hers lifted higher than the Xreas will allow, i am about to remove a set of Xreas shocks from a 2023 with 22,000 miles and plan to put them for sale for about half what the guys on Ebay are asking if you would like to replace yours with OEM.
