Hey everyone - I love my TRD Pro with the Pedal Commander, EXCEPT every time I tow my MasterCraft ski boat, oncoming traffic keeps flashing me as the rear sags and the front lifts. Never had this issue with two Sequoia's and 250k miles.

The TRD Pro already is lifted, so I dont want to go higher, just reduce the sag/tilt. I've seen larger/progressive bump stops that look like they could help, or heavier-duty coil springs, or airbags.

I dont want to screw around airing up and down 3-4x per week, so thinking airbags are out. Bump stops seem easiest, but I've also done suspension work before, so could change the coils. With bump stops the ride doesnt change...so thinking that might be best?

Any thoughts are appreciated - dont mind doing the work, but wanna do it once not twice.

If it isn’t a dramatic sag, maybe you can aim your headlights down as a no cost workaround.

From the factory my ‘21 was pretty much at the highest legal limit with the vehicle level but with any elevation or bounce and those beams are going straight into people’s eyes.

I turned mine down a solid amount and it’s now comfortably below other’s rear windows in more situations and still providing good visibility.

If your towing 3 or 4 times a week I suggest changing out the rear springs.

I think you would benefit running appropriate rear springs design for the constant load your unit experiences in the back. Look at the options of Dobinsons. Many to choose from -there is a big thread on their products and choices here on the forum.

Now that I’ve actually sat down and looked, headlights can be misaligned from the factory so don’t mind me there.

guidelines at their simplest are that the intense part of the beam should be a couple inches below the height of the headlight itself at 25 ft. (but don’t quote me)

That standard breaks with sizable lifts so aim down farther depending on the traffic you regularly encounter, etc.

I may be in the minority, but I like the ride on my 5th Gen as stock. If you feel the same, I would recommend a sway/weight control hitch. They pre-load the trailer connection and allow the vehicle to ride level without altering the suspension. Good ones also deliver sway control. The cost will start at around $500…about the same cost of a set of Bilstein 4600s. This is a cost effective way to tow safely without altering the ride of your tug.

2” lift Bilstein 6112 w/600 lb coils front, 1.5” lift Eibach T13 coils rear, Bilstein 5100 rear shocks, TRD skidplate, TRD stainless catback w/black TRD side exhaust, TRD shifter handle, Weathertech bug deflector, 20% tint front, LED door bulbs, 285/70/17 Falken WP AT3, Energy Suspension front bumpstops, SSO Slimline Bumper w/ Badland Shackles, Durobumps 4.25” rear
Bilstein 5100 rear shocks are $215/pair and T13 Eibach coils 13% stiffer stock than stock, not harsh and are $200. For that price, you’ll get better ride quality and control loaded and unloaded.

I run this set up and had a full tank of gas, 3 adults and 1 child (680 total lbs) and a rear cargo area loaded full of suitcases and other vacation crap (? Lbs) and never had on coming flash me when loaded up. Ive also trailered a 600 lb john deere mower 150 miles and never had a issue
