It shifts into 4lo and gets light in dash but it never gets the light in the dash for 4hi.

The high full time light on a V6 is the green light. Were you looking for a light that says high?

Yes I sure was so the green chassis symbol up top is indicating that it is in “4hi” and there is no dedicated light that says 4hi? Also is the green light supposed to stay on when shifting into 4lo as well?

The green light means power is going to all 4 wheels. It will stay on when you lock the center and/or go into low range. When you lock the center diff for part time 4wd then you get the red with the center X. Only low range actually says "low."

    So...

    No lights - 2wd
Green - Full time 4wd high
Green plus red - Part time 4wd high
Green plus yellow low - Low range full time 4wd (actually not sure if this is an option)
Green, red and yellow low - Low range part time 4wd
