So my xreas was going out on my 04 limited. I bought Bilstein 5100 2.5 inch lift. Dealer installed it for me. I'm honestly dissapointed in the way it looks I thought the lift was going to be higher. I am buying some BFG all terrains here very soon but what can I do to give it a more aggressive look so I uploaded 2 photos. The blue one is mine. I want mine to look similar to the black one please help!!

Lose the side steps and put beefier tires on it. Wheel spacers will make it look more aggressive but mostly from a front or rear view.

I see an 8 on there so I’m guessing 2008. It also has the rounded rear fender well. Of the later 4th gens.

The wheel wells and rear quarter panels look a little different on the two 4runners pictured

Yea the black one is 2006-2009. The blue one is 2003-2005 style.

Gotcha op it will be hard to duplicate the black one considering you 4runner is slightly different body style

Did you take any measurements before the lift was put on?

Tires will make all the difference. I would not want my tires out passed the fender flairs or you will throw crap all down the side of you runner.

Agreed on this my Tacoma throws shit everywhere! I’m ok with that in my Taco but I would rather keep the runner clean.

I do not think it was lifted 2.5. If you have 5100's you can look and see what perch they are on. I suspect they are on a lower setting.

DONT ditch the side steps unless you are planning on immediately putting sliders on or dont care about rocks being kicked up and hitting your panels.

If you have mud flaps I don’t think that would be much issue. I pulled mine 3 days after buying and si far I’ve been fine. Granted aside from daily use it’s only been on one very lite trail. Even then the looks were worth the removal for me.

Well this is good to know. I read from multiple posts of people having rock damage after removing these and that deterred me from removing mine until i have a weekend to install my suspension and add sliders

Unless your rock crawling or going balls to the wall on service roads I wouldn’t be too worried about removing side steps. Even sliders have gaps. I’m constantly beating the rockers on my Tacoma even with sliders but I don’t have front mud flaps to deflect debree.

Take off the rock sliders and get some big skinnies. Big difference in the look of the runner.
