I bought the Wife a new "to us" 2016 4 Runner (lifetime power train warranty) to haul our 2 kids around after her 2011 Buick Enclave ate a valve spring. I personally drove a Taco for 15 years prior to upgrading to a Chevy 2500 to pull a very large tournament bass boat. After a lot of GM issues in both of our gas guzzlers and selling off the tourney rig for a smaller jon boat; we have returned to the "motherland" with a 2016 4 Runner and another new (to me) 2004 Taco 4X4 (currently at the dealer getting a new frame). I also push a little 2006 Scion TC about 110 miles round trip everyday to work, so we are completely Yota'd out now.

We are a military family currently living in Virginia, but in route to Georgia for a career change next month after I "retire". Looks like we are setting up shop just outside of Augusta and very excited for the change.

I have been using this forum for a few weeks now to put together information on how to lift and upgrade the Wife's ride so it doesn't look like a straight grocery snatcher. We have the following on order due in this week:

    - Bilstein 5100 front shocks
    - Daystar 1.5 inch rear spacer lift
    - Spidertrax 1.5 inch wheel spacers
    - 17 X 8.5 Ultra X107's
    - 265 / 70 / 17 - General Grabbers (letters inboard)

After a lot of reading and debating, I went with the 265's. On my 2500 I had a very aggressive negative offset 2 inch spacers and the Dick Cepek DC2 wheels. I had to perform the "Cali-tuck & trim" to eliminate the rub on a 3 in. leveling kit. I'm not above doing that again for the Wife's T4R, but I'd like to go with the 265's with spacers first to see how that looks before I go for the 275's and and cutting tools.

I'll post pics as my install progresses. Thanks for having a place to share information about these great little 4X4's. I hope to contribute to the knowledge base when possible. Take care!
