    Taken from this article
    https://pressroom.toyota.com/releas...eads+charge+updates+on+all+trd+pro+models.htm
2020 4runner will have TSS-P and new grill design
"The 2020 4Runner TRD Pro is distinguished by a new grille design, as the lower section houses the radar sensor for Toyota Safety Sense-P (TSS-P), which is standard for all 4Runner grades for the 2020 model year
Just like Sequoia, Tundra and 4Runner TRD Pro models add Smart Key with Push Button Start for 2020, and the 4Runner also gains two additional rear-seat USB ports."

New colors are ARMY GREEN and MGM

They put LED headlamps and fogs in all tacoma, sequoia, and tundra models yet the 4runner still gets poopy halogens. I also wish they added a Land Cruiser Trd Pro model. As for the 4runner that TSS-P looks like it will be fun for people who want to add bumpers and winch setups.

Land Cruiser would be nice but they announced a Heritage edition for 2020.

Not only does 4Runner retain the halogen headlights.
That damn wheel design is unchanged.
Tacoma has had 3 pro wheels between 2 generations and Tundra has had 2 pro wheels.
4Runner TRD pro wheel still remains the official wheel of TW.

Imo the 4Runner has had the best looking pro wheel. i have yet to see the new ones for 2020 but the 4runner does seem like it is lacking compared to other pro models.

Soccer dad’s who want to look cool dropping the kids off to school. On a more serious note, i think it would cool for overlanding. The long wheel base would suck but its powerful 5.7 for added weight and vast amounts of cargo space for storeing all your gear. Plus people with turtleback trailers would like the added towing.

As for the 4Runner, I bet there will be a lot of interest in these new features........as there will be a lot of interest in snatching up the current models with simpler technology.

Add a 6th gen coming out a few years down the road and we are living in some pretty interesting times when it comes to the 4Runner.

I'm curious to see what happens to used 4Runner prices.

I guess for weekend overlanding the independent rear suspension wouldn't matter much.

or just a family taking the kids on a weekend camping trip or hauling a small travel trailer for the weekend to do some outdoor activities. It will not compare to the level the 4Runner, Taco, or LC can off-road. However, 90% of people who buy this just wanna look cool at the kid's soccer practice.

Just put some HID bulbs in the projectors, they work better and are superior anyway. I do agree that something else should be an option.

I agree i did the same, but i still think it is rather sad that you need to change the headlights on a new vehicle in order to see anything at night.

Knowing Toyota and giving the fact they are just putting bandaids on their vehicles until a complete redo, it's most likely plug and play

Well...f*ck me. Army Green is the ONE color that they could put on the PRO that will make me consider trading in my '17 TRD OFF Road.

    Me.

After just paying for the THIRD transmission in my wifes POS 2005 Chevy Tahoe (only 142,000 miles) I would LOVE to get her into a Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro. Actually ANY Toyota for that matter. But she loves that damn Tahoe.

On the plus side I guess $3K every few years for a new transmission is cheaper than a new vehicle. I guess. Sort of. Maybe.

Let us know if you get one. I think there was someone on the Tundra forum that did a Sequoia rear suspension swap (he wanted a nice street ride setup), since they share a lot of driveline components. Be cool if someone went the other way.

That seems a little excessive on the transmissions. Might I suggest next time you check into getting something from these guys...May be worth it to you and the wife...

Doubt I'll be getting one. She still lubs that damn cheby. And if I did there is no way she would say OK to a full suspension swap. She has seen me do similar stuff to my vehicles and wants no part of that on hers.

No kidding. Pre 2005 Tahoes are known for weak trannys. This one has a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. Hopefully we will get rid of it before we need to replace it yet again. With my luck though she will want another Tahoe.
