Just picked up my first 2019 SR5 Limited and have a couple of questions.

    1. Cant get the fog lights to come on? Fuse? Switch? I've played around and just cant seem to get them to turn on.

    2. Tailgate panel lights don't work. I have switched to door and on and both don't work. Is it a bulb? Fuse as well?

Fog light switch on steering wheel stalk. Think its on the left, rotating switch.

Switch on each of the tailgate lights.

I played with the stalk, same setup as my Tacoma, no dice.
I played with the switches on the lights on the panel and again, no dice.

    1. Fog lights only come on with headlights, but since you already have a Toyota, it's probably something you're aware of already (but just in case) - does the fog light indicator on the dash show up when you flip it on with the headlights on?

    2. I'd assume bulbs first and look at those first. Can't know for sure until you lay eyes on the bulbs.

Ill have to get back to you on that first question, and for the second point, i think the bulbs went and need replace. I'll follow up as quickly as I can.

Being that you recently got his, Have you taken a visual to ensure they are plugged in? Possibility of some repairs being made before you took possession?

Something came up and cant get the truck in till next week for an inspection. I did play around a bit and found that the fuse to the rear tailgate lights was shot, replacement of that and the lights are working again.

    Follow up.
Mechanic said vehicle is in great shape. Passed all the codes. Mechanically sound all around. Normal rust for Ohio. Suggested maybe an undercoating bath before winter. Truck is one of the nicest ones he's had come through his shop.

Maybe you know maybe you don't...... If the brights are on, your foglights won't work. The brights are on the stalk too. You push it forward for brights, pull back for low beams.. Congrats on your new ride!

Thank you. The list is growing and its only been a couple of weeks.

Blacked out steering wheel emblem, front and rear emblems, and interior door handles. SR5 column emblem delete. Added in channel auto vent shades. Did the interior LED upgrade (wow what an amazing difference). And as and ode to the Tacoma, I did the grille lights in smoked white. I dont like them though as they dont flow with this as they did with my truck. Will need to revisit that.

Working on selling some truck accessories and I have my mind set on the Prinsu Pro Rack. Likely will wait till a big sale goes down such as Black Friday this year, I saved a ton of money on my Tacoma when I did this.

Some future high level plans are tires and wheels. Pro Grill. Prinsu rear ladder. Some molle panels in places but I need to look into what makes sense. I like keeping these trucks suspensions stock as I dont do much off roading. Maybe a leveling kit. I build these more for camping purposes to store my pelican case, diy water tube, solar panel, and diy fly rod carrier.

Just sold all my Tacoma parts with the exception of the bed rack. Have enough dollars now to get that Prinsu rack.

Welcome here, this forum is super helpful for 5th gen owners. Prinsu will be a nice touch, solid choice. I’ve said before, a good condition 2019 SR5 is the exact 5th gen I would seek if I was able to do it over again or afford a second!

I enjoy coming and reading the stuff here. I am in the middle of buying and selling our home so to keep things less chaotic, I might wait till all these stresses are done to get a rack.
