Installed the Banks Pedal Monster. Took it for a couple spins around the block and tried different settings. Works as advertised. I'll give it a couple weeks to see how I like it on a normal day's drive for me, but, from initial impressions, I'm happy with the purchase. I imagine a full tune would be even better but I'm not there yet.

Got my rotopax mount and side steps for my C4 ladder installed, along with my new 3 gallon rotopax fuel cans. I can now carry 6 gallons of fuel and 4 gallons of water on the outside of the rig. Added the ladder, specifically for mounting the additional 2 gallon water can and for accessing my rooftop tent. Everything seems solid but I will give it a good shakedown in a couple of weeks when my son and I spend 10 days completing the Oregon BDR.

haven’t seen any folks with these actually but I just pulled the trigger on Overland Custom Design rear recover points. I’ve already done the exhaust pipe relocation so I’ll thread chase and install one on passenger side, as well as replace the drivers side factory tie down/recovery hook!

1/2" HR steel. Built in Springfield, Oregon. They come raw I’ll hit with Raptor primer & Tremclad rust paint.

I don’t trust shipping thru customs to B.C., random exorbitant duty fees can incur, so shipped to 24/7 post office Sumas,WA for $13US + no tax. God bless the US of A.

    single: $55 USD.
    pair: $100 USD.
    Total $113.95 USD incl shipping.
    $152 Canadian Pesos.

Looking for the install pics once you have them in hand. Do these replace what's already there?

yes sir, factory mounting points both sides.
someone posted link and price of rear factory tie down recently, I forget. but I like dis better. I’ll probably just stick with the incl. hardware, Hardened 10.9 JIS Flange Bolts are good and distribute tightening force over greater area.

I reckon it will look half decent in place of the bronze hook

Had an idea for this after looking at your pictures. Maybe something you've thought of already. You could use a standoff to take up the space between the bolt hole and interior piece. Cut one so that it ends up flush with the interior piece, then you could bolt one of those tie down points/ rings into that spot. The tie down point would lay flat until needed, eliminating a possible snag point for sliding things in and out of that area.

    Yes

I have a set and used one doing some snow wheeling. I installed a rear bumper since, so the set are now in my pile of extra parts. Good quality and very strong!

    good product and good people.

I have a daughter and son-in-law that live in Portland and come to Albuquerque every other month or so that one of which could meet up with you if you're interested in unloading them.

Added some thermal insulation to the bonnet. I am looking for an insulation mat since my SR5 did not come with one and they do make a difference with the engine noise after I rented a TRD off road few weeks ago and it had one.
But the dealer wants $260. That's absurd. The search continues.
While at the dealer, bought some filters. And the thicker pre filter engine filters are readily available.
While the tech was looking at my car, rented something called a Mustang Mach E to run some errands. Absolutely crap vehicle.

Today I ordered shocks to replace OEM set. 116k miles, it's time as I'll be getting a BAMF bumper and sliders, and am towing a camp trailer some trips too. Anticipating lots of fun times! Yes I've had it in 4wd, but not nearly often enough! On snow a few times,, Up a trail a little bit off of Sherman Pass rd...Top of Sherwin Grade off-road to the "Heart Rock" a couple times.
The old one (1990) took it up Coyote a few times, Silver canyon a couple times, Top of Buttermilk by trailhead to Sunset Lake, Garcia Ridge off the Pozo road, the top of the hill above Pirate's Cove- that was tricky, lugging substantially near top but couldn't gun it or back off, critical traction on a steep hill(did the same hill in a Geo Tracker years before it was easy because it's so light), also Upper Lopez Canyon... I miss the manual transmission!

Hey bud, been meaning to reply.
I agree with you, I don’t know if I fully follow the idea, but the eyebolts I have in there at the moment work OK cuz they’re partially inset and don’t protrude a lot but I can still fit an optional shackle pin, plus plenty diameter for hooks and no rattles!

I was gonna go have my KO2s re-balanced and broke down and decided to give the KO3s a try. I had C rated but after driving my Tundra with the E rated this morning on the highway I thought maybe switching to the 10 ply might make a difference on staying balanced. (To be honest I think one of my previous tires was just out of round and I was tired of messing with it.). They only put 35PSI in these but they sure felt great on the highway. I’ll probably increase the pressure to 40PSI. I know BFG is recommending 44PSI. Anyone running the 10 PLY on their 5th Gen feel free and tell me what the magic number is that you have found. BTW…. I went w/ white letter….. never thought I would. What do you guys think??IMG_2246.jpg

Hood. TRD lighted gril, fang lights, AVS lighted bug deflector , cold air intake, Body Armor rock sliders. Fuel Rebar rims 17” , Toyo Open Country ATIII 35x12.50r/17LT ,6” Fabtech lift,.blue led replacement bulbs in all interior lights. Carbon fiber overlay on all trim. Cargo complete cover mats. Weather tech floor Matts , Stealth Tail lights, morimoto 3rd brake light replacement weather tech side window rain covers.
I want to replace the front brakes at least. These things dip to the front so much when you brake hard. Feels like the back comes up and pushes you forward. I do have 35s. I went the expensive route with my lift , 6” Fab Tech. The whole thing not including rims and tires was about 10k with shocks, coil overs, control arms. I’ll have to say. It rides like it’s stock, even better. Not one cut was made to the body.

Stock Size KO2's - TRD CAI - TRD Exhaust, KC HiLites Hidden 20" Lightbar, Ditch Lights, Back Up Led Pods, ARB Dif Breather, ScanGauge III, OEM Rock Rails

I just switched to stock size E Rated KO3's after 52,000+ miles on my C rated KO2's. (KO2's still looked new but some small signs of dry rot after 6+ years)
KO3's balanced with no issues and feels like it "tracks" solid. (Did upgrade the suspension also, slight Dobinsons lift) Seems to feel smoother on the highways compared to the KO2's, when they were newer or worn in.
KO3's at 44 psi (same as KO2's) with about 100 lbs of constant weight in the back. 500 miles on them and see no loss of MPG.
Solid tire, I know some may say E Rated is overkill for the 4R but I'm very happy with them - on the highway, gravel/dirt roads and especially over those New England potholes.

I like the look of white letters out. I currently run KO2 black letters out but I have contemplated white letters out when I change. I like BFG’s and will most likely go with KO3s and like you go with white letters out. I will need to go with “E” load because my ole girl is extra heavy.I hope you update after a bit and let us know how you like them and what PSI you end up using.

It wouldn't hurt to spend some money upgrading your brakes then. The Bosch rotor and pads are great for the value. But it's not really an upgrade.
